Monty 19/10/2011 - 17/09/2025 🕊️
Acute Renal Failure.
In this condition, the kidneys don’t clean the blood as they should, leading to a buildup of waste and changes in the body’s fluid and mineral balance. The kidneys can often recover with the right care and support, gradually regaining their ability to keep the body’s internal waters clear and steady again. In very unfortunate cases there isn’t anything that can be done. Sadly this was the case for Monty.
Monty must have been suffering with this for a while. He was so stoic. Always looking so happy and trying his best in every ride to make his people happy.
Every dinner time, every jump, every photo, every memory. He looked calm, relaxed and happy.
I believe horses know when something is wrong. Monty got himself caught in a fence and ripped his rugs, which made us get him out to care for him. In that short time it all started going downhill. We tried everything but not long and he passed in our arms.
It is impossible to count the lives he touched.
Taking people to new heights, teaching young people to ride and to feel confidence and comfort around horses.
For being the best companion and leader for his herd and his people.
And for being Becky’s heart horse, being with her since he was 5 months old. Giving her the most calm, reliable, confidence booster she needed. Being her shoulder to cry on, her being to be there to listen, her absolute everything.
And so, we say goodbye - not only with tears, but with gratitude. For the rides shared. For the lessons learned. For the love given and received without condition.
Forever in our hearts.
Rest in peace, Monty 🕊️💔
