Hi all, I am just posting an update to try and minimise any confusion. For those that aren’t aware Andrea O’Grady passed in March 2024 and this page is now ran by her eldest daughter Sarah and cows managed by Andrea’s husband Paul with the help of Sarah. We no longer have a herd bull so cannot offer those services, we are however still offering whole/sides of beef. Please feel free to message the page for any inquiries/orders of beef.

Spring calving has started. Or it could be a very late autumn/winter calf! I’m in hospital so can’t check and have to wait for more information from my family to find out who has calved and what I have. Initial photos I’m pleased with it.

Calving update. Kerry Mist had a lovely black bull on 10/3/23, Elsa gave me a beautiful heifer on 13/3/23. Dora has allowed me to check her calf (ok, it was in the cattle yards away from her 😂) to confirm that she is a heifer. All 3 so far I am very pleased with!

Calving season is not going well here this year. Firstly only 3 cows in calf ( I used an outside bull). Yesterday late afternoon Ebony went into labour. She had twins. BUT both were stillborn. Both bull calves but one was not fully developed (no hair, etc, etc).
Kerry Mist had a healthy bull calf last week so it’s just Brooke left to calve.

After a lot of thought (and input from my daughters) I have decided to find a new paddock for my beautiful 2 year old bull Goldshaft Rhinestone Cowboy. He is currently unregistered (but can be), out of Goldshaft Herkimer by Kirup Park Dunlop. Born January 2020, dehorned Cowboy has the length, depth and width I have been breeding for, great feet, and a lovely nature. I will seriously consider swapping for a bull of equal quality. Please message me if you would like more information on this lovely bull.
