While masquerading as Rogue’s support team, I think these guys were secretly hoping for their own massage.

As always, I am always grateful for the ongoing support of my clients but Chantz would just like to remind you of a few things ...

* As I'm sure you aware, there has been a Canine parvovirus outbreak across the state. If your dog is showing any signs of being unwell, especially including vomiting or diarrhoea, please contact me to cancel your dog's appointment until they have been symptom free for two weeks.

* Lately I have experienced an increase in clients cancelling appointments on short notice (less than 24 hours), or not attending without notice. As a result, I have had to implement a policy where clients will be charged 100% of the treatment fee in order to cover costs.

* As a client you are privileged to have access to my phone number. But please be aware that this is also my personal number. I'm more than happy for clients to contact me on it, but please do so within work hours only (8.30-5pm Monday to Friday).

Again, thank you for your understanding. It is much appreciated.

I’m forever scrambling through my phone to find videos of Justice demonstrating ‘sit-to-stand’ & ‘down-to-stand’ to show clients.

So just leaving this here, for no other reason than to pin & find easily.

Chantz would like to encourage you all to get up from your desk for a quick stretch this afternoon … bonus points if your dog joins in!

I just want to thank all my clients this year for your support, laughs, chats & fun rehab sessions. It has been very much appreciated!

This is only a very small snippet of the dogs I have gotten to hang out with this year. There’s many more of you & you know who you are.

From a small mobile service at the beginning of creating my business, to opening a physical clinic this year … it’s been a ride the past five years & I couldn’t have done it without you!

I’m now taking a two week break over the Christmas holiday period, but will be back on board on the 5th of January, & looking forward to catching up with you all in the new year.

I hope you all have wonderful Christmas holiday & that 2026 is kind to you all ❤️

About 3 months ago Justice started to show signs of pain & lameness due to a probable partial cruciate ligament tear. You may remember reading about this in a previous post. In all honesty, I'm surprised she hasn't shown symptoms before, being an active dog who likes to leap through the air & catapult off things whenever she gets a chance!

One of the first things I did at this time was start her on .au , a natural pain relief & anti-inflammatory supplement I have been recommending to my canine clients for years due to the clinical studies I had read. Despite this, I have never had any of my dogs on this product, so I was keen to see how Justice did.

So far I have been really happy with the results. I would say it was around the 6-8 week mark when I really felt it had 'kicked in', & while she still has the odd day when she pulls up a stiff or sore (which is to be expected if she has overdone it), I'm pleased to have her on a natural product she can take long-term without it having a detrimental effect on her gut health or being hard on her organs, but is also targeting her symptoms effectively.

I have actually been so pleased with how she is doing I've started giving it to Chantz (who I refer to as my 'orthopaedically unsound dog') as a proactive measure to help maintain his joint health for as long as possible.

At some stage I will write a more in-depth blog post on .au but for now I wanted to just share my personal experience. I know a lot of you are already using the product, so I would love to get your feedback in the comments on how you are finding it.

Now that I have been able to trial .au with my own dog, I have partnered up with them to be able to share a discount code with my clients & any of you that would like to try it (you can even use the code if your dog is already on it). When you order through their website (www.antinol.com.au), use the code T8867080 at check out to get a 5% discount. If you are ordering through their subscription process you only need to use this code once, otherwise you will need to enter it each time you make a purchase.

If you have any questions, as always, just send me a message!

As you may be able to tell from my erratic posting, social media is not my priority or forte, but it is something I would like to get more consistent with (even if it's just one post a week - or maybe every two weeks) if it can help me help your dog feel better. Because, that's really what I'm about. Helping your dog stay active, happy & strong! So, let's start with an intro post, because it's been a while since I did that.

I'm Nicola, a Canine Myofunctional & Rehab Therapist (I am also a human physiotherapist with 27 years experience) with a clinic based in Railton, in the NW of Tasmania. I also provide virtual consults and email advice to those outside traveling distance to see me.

While I see dogs of all ages, & with a varied spectrum of diagnoses, my specialty areas include:
* Helping your ageing dog stay as mobile as possible for as long as possible.
* Helping your dog recover fully from orthopaedic or spinal surgery.
* Helping dogs with lameness when surgery is not an option.
* Helping dogs whose owners want to try conservative management prior to considering surgery.

My sessions mainly consist of lots of education for you, as your dog's advocate, lots of fun for your dog (believe me when I say your dog will come to love doing their exercises) & lots of treats!

The best part of my job is seeing dogs return to their best quality of life. The hardest ... those times when an owner has to say goodbye to their best mate, when their best mate has come to own a little part of my heart as well. When that happens, I just hope I was able to help ease a little bit of pain for both owner & dog on their journey together.

And while I can't promise I will be more consistent here (although I will definitely try!), please know I am always happy for you to contact me via my website or via private DM.

However, I'm also going to ask you a favour ... to help keep me accountable on here, if there is anything in particular you would like me to answer, create or post about, please let me know in the comments below.

On that note, my 4 cats, 2 dogs & 7 sheep are making me well aware it is the start of feeding time at the zoo ... so I better go before chaos ensues!
