🐾 Those puppy dog eyes are hard to resist… especially when you’re snacking. But before you accidentally share the love, you might want to check what’s actually safe for your furry friend. 🛑

Some of our go-to treats can be downright dangerous for dogs. Here are 7 human foods that should never end up in your pup’s bowl:

❌ Chocolate – Delicious for us, toxic for them. Chocolate can cause tummy trouble and heart issues in dogs. Keep it high, out of reach, and all yours.

❌ Grapes & Raisins – Just a few can harm your dog’s kidneys. Yep, they’re tiny but super toxic.

❌ Onions & Garlic – Flavour bombs in our meals, but they can damage your dog’s red blood cells and cause anemia. Hard pass.

❌ Xylitol – Found in sugar-free gum, lollies and even peanut butter. It can cause dangerous blood sugar crashes. Always check the label!

❌ Avocados – Guac might be life, but not for your dog. Persin (found in avocado) can be toxic to them.

❌ Macadamia Nuts – These fancy nuts can cause weakness, tremors, and more. Better safe than sorry.

❌ Alcohol – No celebratory sips for pups. Even small amounts can lead to serious health issues.

🦴 When in doubt, stick to treats made just for dogs – and save your snacks for the humans.

Regrettably, the grassed areas of Eades Park in North Melbourne have not withstood the summer and autumn seasons well and are currently undergoing refurbishment. Alternative local park options include Clayton Reserve and Docklands (Ron Barassi Snr Park).

Hello to all the wonderful Dogs of Melbourne CBD - please take a few minutes to review. Are you registered with HomeSafeID? This post is for you!

🚨 Important Update for Pet Owners: HomeSafeID Microchip Registry Closing 🚨

Attention all pet parents! 🐾 One of Australia’s microchip registries, HomeSafeID, has recently announced it will be shutting down, leaving microchip data for tens of thousands of pets at risk. 😟

Don’t worry - Evervet is here to help! 💙

✅ We do NOT use HomeSafeID as a registry. If your pet is registered with a different company, we can scan your pet's microchip and check which registry it’s with at any clinic! 🔍

✅ If you're unsure about your pet's microchip number, we can help! Just visit one of our locations in and we’ll scan it for you.

Our Recommendation: For peace of mind, we highly recommend Central Animal Records as a microchip registry. 🏅 Visit their website to register or update your details today: www.car.com.au

3 months have already passed since the offical opening of Eades Dog Park (West Melbourne). Over the past months we’ve seen hundreds of dogs enjoying the newly refurbished space. I’d have to say the adventure space and sandpit are favourites enjoyed by all. 🐶🐾🎾
