We are no longer taking outside horses for breaking in or training. Glen Gough is an internationally renowned horseman, with a long list of accolades in the campdraft, challenge, and Australian Stock Horse arenas. Some of Glen's achievements include multiple ASH National futurities, maturities, open challenges, a World Championship Campdrafting title, an Australian Open Campdraft title, multiple n

ational Supreme workings, two Cloncurry Stockmans challenges, eight state championships, four golden spurs, two gold cups, and a dozen trophy saddles. Glen has also given demonstrations at the Calgary Stampede, the 2000 Sydney Olympics, two Equitanas, two Sydney Royals, the Ekka, and the Northern show circuit. Glen has broken in and trained all his own horses, including the famous Yallatup Rivoli Rex - IS HSH who won upwards of 40 open age drafts. Yallatup Regal Remedy was also a prolific achiever for Glen. Glen's training techniques are strongly influenced by his father, along with many years of experience. Horse psychology plays an integral role in all aspects of the GG Horsemanship methods.

Tux is currently in work at Yallatup, after being broken in here a few years ago, and brought along steadily by his owner since. Very typey, intelligent and athletic. Set up for ASH showing, but would certainly suit drafting and challenge arenas. Ready to start on cattle. Please message Daisy if you’d like to come and view him while he is here, or contact Kendell for more info :)

A tip for anyone working on their young horse/s during COVID lockdown. Consistency always beats intensity.

'Mel' was purchased off his breeder as a 2yo after Glen saw him have his third ride under saddle. Daisy finished breaking him in in January 2016.
Mel never had any particularly intensive blocks of work, he was just kept in a paddock nearby and ridden a few times a week by Daisy, with a couple of spells here and there.
This video was taken in June 2017, 1.5yrs later. The point being, a complete education takes longer than you might think, and the best results are never rushed.

Happy training people!

Massive congratulations to Elenor who took out the VICTORIAN HI POINT ASHLA 1st year competitor.
Mel (Yarnahs Braveheart) is living in absolute horsie heaven and looking a million bucks. He couldn’t have found a better home to continue his success 🥰

We just love hearing updates on our home broke horses!
Boots recently found a lovely new home down at a feedlot in Condamine. Jordyn says “He’s exactly what I was after and has done great at the feedlot so far. He’s such a sweet boy with lots of talent”.
We wish Jordyn and Boots the very best together for their exciting future ahead. Boots is very lucky to have found such a caring and dedicated owner.

“I’m not so competitive now, but I have a horse that I will draft and challenge next year and I do have a couple of Regal’s youngsters here. The competition has its social side too and the horse people I have met throughout my life are the greatest bunch of people I have ever known.” ... Glen Gough
