🌱 Sand Colic Alert! 🐴

With recent rains, green shoots are popping up — and so is the risk of sand colic in horses!

💢 Causes:
Horses grazing short pastures or feeding off sandy ground can ingest sand, which builds up in the gut.

⚠️ Signs to Watch For:
• Recurrent mild colic
• Weight loss
• Diarrhea
• Lying down more than usual

✅ Prevention Tips:
• Feed hay in tubs or off mats
• Avoid overgrazed, sandy paddocks
• Add psyllium husk to the diet: 1g per kg of body weight daily for 7 days, once a month

Golden K9 is coming to Port Lincoln!

This means an exciting opportunity to tackle all of your dog training goals! We will be booking private sessions from June 19th-29th. Training plans can cover a variety of goals such as loose lead walking, reactivity, basic obedience, discovering your dogs drives, destructive behaviours, etc.

Bookings for the private sessions include the initial in person consultation, an emailed training plan to follow, and follow up communication over the phone or messages to keep you on track to your goals.
