🐕 Anyone looking for a medium level mali, look no further.

Ivy definitely has Malinois traits but has lived a domesticated life before coming to the shelter (meaning she can switch off!!) She would suit an active owner or family that can give her daily exercise and a loving home.

Contact Paws and Claws Refuge and Boarding Centre - Port Douglas to go and visit this beautiful girl.

🐶 The Puppy Development Class was in action last night and they are all looking great!

Restrained recall are always a part of our sessions and last night they all succeeded in pairing it with a sit.

If you have a puppy and want to learn more about my Puppy Development Class, check out the link in the bio.

🐕You have a high drive dog in Port Douglas and limited time to meet their needs, this is where things start going wrong.

Pulling.
Destructive behaviour.
Can’t settle.

It’s not random. It’s unmet drive.

My spring pole sessions are designed for busy owners who still want a well-behaved, satisfied dog.

✔ Pick up & drop off available within 15k radius
✔ Short, high-output sessions
✔ Built for dogs that need more and love to play tug

This isn’t daycare.
This is structured work that actually makes a difference.

Limited spots each week.
DM SPRING to book your session.

🐶Lunging and pulling isn’t just “puppy behaviour.”

It’s a dog that’s learned the environment matters more than you.

Last night’s puppy development class had the puppies working around real distractions and still choosing their handler when called.

No repeated commands. No bribing. No chaos.

This is what happens when you train engagement and recall properly.

Do you want to learn how?

My next Puppy Development Class intake is open soon.

Message me for more information or check the link in the bio.

2 trials over 2 nights.

Same result!

Koda took 1st in Rally Novice both nights (94/100)
Raya took 1st in CCD both nights (93/100)

First and second ever obedience trials and they came out consistent, clear and did amazingly.

Every point we lost? Me. I am always the problem 😅

Couldn’t be prouder of them 💛💙

I’m out here running for my life and Bundy’s barely getting started…

CaniX is one of the easiest ways to actually work your dog.

Burns energy, builds drive, and gives them a proper outlet.

Who else gets humbled by their dog? 😂 🙋🏼‍♀️

POV: your dog gets stuck

A) rush in and save them
B) step back and let them figure it out

Most people pick A… and then wonder why their dog can’t cope with anything.

I chose B.

No panic. No babying. No rushing to fix it.

Because every time you step in too early, you’re teaching your dog they need you instead of teaching them to think for themselves.

Confidence isn’t built from being babied…
It’s built in these exact moments.

Let them try. Let them problem solve. Let them work through it.

That’s how you build a dog that can actually handle life.

If your dog struggles with even small challenges, it’s not “just their personality”… it’s something you can fix.

— and that’s exactly what I help owners do.

Sunrise session 🌅🐾

While most people are still in bed, these guys show up and put in the work. No fluff, no shortcuts, just building better dogs.

This morning was about setting the standard for the weekend.

Clear heads, calm dogs, and actually following through.

Because a “good dog” doesn’t just happen, it comes from what you do consistently.

So the question is… are you setting your dog up for success this weekend, or winging it?

Let me know what you are doing with your dog this weekend?

Dogs aren’t “naughty”… they’re under stimulated and under challenged.

That pulling, barking, destroying your house, not listening?

That’s not a bad dog.

That’s a dog with nowhere to put its energy.

We’ve taken working, driven dogs and expected them to be satisfied with a 20 minute walk and a backyard.

It doesn’t work like that.

Dogs need:
• Purpose
• Mental stimulation
• Physical outlets that actually tire them out

Not just endless laps around the block.

Give them a job.

Challenge their brain.

Let them use their body properly.

Then watch the behaviour problems start to disappear.

Your dog isn’t trying to be difficult.

It’s trying to cope with a lack of satisfactory stimulation.
