Nyla's back! Our favourite Cocker Spaniel puppy was back for her first big girl groom today.

After some previous baths and tidies- to help her get used to the process positively- we started working on setting her breed pattern- which means taking her nice and short over her back and neck, and blending to nice long legs and skirt.

After all was said and done, Nyla was exhausted and just wanted a big cuddle with Brooke

What a difference 2 months makes! 🐾

Bobby, the Aussie Shepherd is growing fast! Starting to fit into his ears, and plenty more floof!

Regular grooming sessions from a young age help teach pups that baths, brushes, and clippers are nothing to fear- just part of the routine!

It’s more than looking good, it’s setting them up for stress-free care as they grow. 🛁🐶

❔️Why relying on a coat/jumper all winter long, and forgetting your regular grooming habits may cause more harm than good!

❌️ Matting: The constant rubbing of fabric against the fur, especially in long-haired breeds, can cause mats to form, particularly around the chest, armpits, and belly.

❌️Trapped moisture: If pup and/or jumper gets wet, it can hold moisture against the skin, creating a damp environment that encourages irritation, hot spots, or fungal infections.

❌️ Irritation: Some materials or seams can chafe or irritate the skin, especially with prolonged wear or if the jumper is not cleaned regularly

❌️ False Sense of Security: Owners may overlook regular grooming or health checks thinking the coat provides full protection — when in fact, it can hide underlying issues like fleas, rashes, or injuries.

✅️ So remember to keep regular grooming a priority for your pups, who doesn't love a warm bath on a cold winters day anyway! 🛁 🧽

❄️ Winter has hit early ❄️

So it's appropriate to remind everyone how regular pre-winter grooming is a must!

Most long coat breeds but especially put more common Cavoodles, Groodles, and other curly-coated breeds can develop mats that trap dampness and irritate the skin if not properly maintained. Regular brushing, bathing and trims help their coats stay clean, breathable, and insulating
