My Bush Babies Australia SHARING IS CARING
KNOWLAGE SHARED
IS AN ANIMAL SPARED
Please stay safe and remember to check those pouches . THANK YOU FOR CARING πŸ’• I am an animal rescuer.

I have bought animal food with my last dime, I have patted a mangy head with a bare hand. I have hugged those that are vicious and afraid. I have fallen in love a thousand times, and I have cried into the fur of a lifeless body too many times to count. My work is never done, my home is never quiet, my wallet is always empty - but my heart is always full. ~ Unknown

Little guy came in so stressed out. I honestly don't think he knew that his Mum was gone as in dead. It would have felt he'd been stolen, this is why I always put the joey's on their dead mum for a few seconds after I've taken them out of the pouch. That way they learn that mum is already dead and they accept being in care so much quicker.
Seeing him grooming himself like this is a big plus. It means he's finally accepting and settling into being in care

Someone's been Echidna napping...
Not all Echidnas wandering around need rescuing. They need to forage for food. Your house is probably in their favourite spot.
Obviously if the Echidna is injured it will need rescuing. It is really important to have an exact location of where you rescued it ... incase it is a female and has a puggle to feed in the burrow.
If you think an Echidna needs a rescue please call someone to assess the situation.
This gorgeous one is heading back to where it came from.

Please check pouches...
Little lives depend on it.

This little one was found in a dead mums pouch. Someone didn't want to see the body get mushed into the road. When she picked it up she noticed the movement.

And another little life is saved.

With
Hearts of gold
And
Hearts that feel
The
Pain is real
A
Pain we feel
So

Just rescued this little guy from a couple of dogs...
Had to call back home to feed the babies then take the Echidna up to the carer.
I thinks it's reminding me that I need a designated Echidna container.
