At Windy Valley Dexter Stud, we breed and promote Dexter cattle. Dexters are a naturally small dual purpose breed of Irish cattle. Dexters are equally desired for their creamy Jersey style milk and their finely marbled tender and delicious meat. Dexters are a quiet and low maintenance breed. We specialize in breeding dairy house cows as commercial stock and grass fed beef steers for eating or as pets and companion animals. Our Stud Stock Dexter cows and bulls are from unique and well known high quality blood lines. All animals are vaccinated and regularly drenched. Well that’s it. The last of my 27 Dexters are gone. I’m officially nursing a broken 💔 . Each and every one of my girls (& bulls) have contributed towards the kids and me being able to buy a new house.. somewhere.. I will miss my Dexters. They are such an easy going quiet practical breed of cattle for small acreages💚🐂 🍀

Ok.. so I got myself in, now how do I get myself out?!😂. Windy Valley Lola & Koko Black enroute to go to their new home and to join Lolly, Lyric & Candy💚. Koko is one of my favourite girls, she lead up onto stock trailer beautifully even though she hasn’t been on the halter since being weaned 3 years ago. Windy Valley Kenya, Kit Kat & Kinnaird Hisolda hadn’t been on the halter in 4 years and these gorgeous ladies just led up onto the stock trailer as if it were only yesterday they were halter trained. Off they went today after Bulls ear tagged. Gorgeous ‘Copperhead Zena’ AKA Ruby (that I’ve had 5 years). She hadn’t been on the halter 4 years and beautifully led up and on to the trailer. Can’t say I’m surprised (trained by Roz Michelini of Copper Head Dexters, she’s so thorough!). Ruby & her bull calf & Windy Valley Ned Kelly to join Windy Valley Nutmeg, Matilda, Mayflower, Maple & Marigold in Swan Hill. Can’t wait to see their progress 💙
