So sometimes I let Sylvia have time off work….she celebrates this time by playing Bowls.
What a ledgend she is and trust me this was not an easy win …she played off against one of the doyens of the club.

All this and not a dog in in sight 🤷‍♀️.

Well we are back!

I can’t believe it’s been a year and a bit between post. 2024 zoomed past in a flurry of weddings and puppies and dog shows and pet skin esthetician study and exams and now here we in 2025.

It’s been a busy start to the year already.

We have had all manner of dogs and cats in and a human or two.

Stick with us for this year as we navigate more grooming another littler of pups for Allis and more Dog Shows.

Well that’s a wrap for us this year.

It’s been a fluffy, furry, slobbery filled year of looking after your four pawed best friends.

Sylvia and I have to send special thanks to the coffee runs that Mum and Dad do, keeping us well caffeinated, of course McGyver and Nonno Peter for the running repairs they provide us with. And we can’t forget Sharon for stepping up and into an apron when Sylvia headed off into the sunset.

We are looking forward to the break and will see you all again in 2024. Have a lovely Christmas break and don’t forget to brush your dogs….its good them and it’s good for you.

Allis and I are finished showing for the year. We went out on a high with her placing 2nd in the terrier group 1-4 show on Friday.

It was such a pleasure to be in the line up with (1st) Australian Terrier Ch Tasdale Tie Dyed Trend Setter and (4th)Bull Terrier Ch Stusnchbull Uptown Funk. Both owned by the Rah Terrier Team, Neridah Sharrett and Stan Honnery, responsible for such beautifully bred dogs.

I am so grateful for the kind and patient (oh so very patient) mentoring I have had from Liz Walmsley, Neridah and Stan, Chuckie and Dianne Craig Stokes. Thanks also to my supportive McGyver Paul who inevitably gets dragged into my animal capers, eventually we will learn how to stand with a dog and a ribbon in a photo.

Anulan Allis Chalmers also gained her Championship points on Friday.🎉 🍾

I am so looking forward to coming year of learning and hopefully managing to master “the run” and standing right way around.

I can’t not wait for this seminar !

For all my clients who have seen Julie and have heard me talk about Julie and how she works with dogs - this seminar is for you.

Canine Exercise Talk for Pet People

Save the date: Sunday 26th November from 1pm.

Cost: 25.00 per person

Where: Furkidz Resort 45 Battersea Rd Canning Vale.

Pet People this is for you!!

Bring with you a comfy chair or cushion and be ready for a great discussion on how to set your dog/s up for success with breed specific exercise and genetic fulfillment. Two much loved topics which I feel does not reach pet people enough.

I am going to talk about differences in muscle tissue fibre types and how this relates to various breeds for example: hunting breeds such as hounds, herding breeds, guarding breeds or retrieving breeds of dogs. I will also include how we go about exercise requirements for each breed type including biomechanics.

You will begin to look at exercise requirements from a completely different perspective for breed types.

We will also discuss growth and development phases and all life stages and how to adapt your plan for the future.

We will talk about how you go about incorporating genetic fulfillment for your dog within this plan. For your dog and importantly your breed of dog. Often young dogs get rehomed or pet people struggle with so called behavioral issues. Often these are actually just a reflection of a lack of understanding of just how important genetic fulfillment is for your dog.

So come join in on this great opportunity to share in this talk as I do encourage open discussion.

To reserve your place please message me or include your interest in the comments below.

Payment for this talk to secure your place is by February 24th. For people who aren't clients of mine I will message you with payment details.

When you have a brilliant day watching the dogs you groom win in the ring.

Congratulations to Dr Sam Chu and Rosamontana Quicksilver aka Logan on winning Best In Breed in Working Dogs

And congratulations to Liz Walmsley and Wendy Wouters on the win for Ch.Bellegum Gingerlicious winning Best in Group and Best Exhibit in Show and Best Intermediate in Show. What a little pocket rocket Ginger is and I am having the best time honing my skills on this breed under the tutelage of Liz Walmsley.

Such a brilliant day working with my buddy Sheree Blake prepping the Australian Terriers from Terraochre Australian Terriers and Dianne Craig Stokes .

These little stunners are heading off to Adelaide and then Melbourne shows. Nearly three weeks on the road seeing the sights and competing.

Along on the journey are Neridah Sharrett and Stan Honnery with their Aussie Terriers and Bull Terriers.

Have a wonderful and successful time.
