My how life can change direction so quickly.

For those that have met my beautiful cows, you know how much i love them and sometimes that love requires for us to let go.

These 2 cows are in milk and are Illawarra x Jersey, approx 5 years old, they calve easily and they both have a 7 month old calf at foot.
The red cow 'Daisy' had a 3/4 jersey bull calf and the black cow 'Clarabell' had a 7 month old 3/4 jersey calf at foot.

Ideally i would like them to stay pairs, so cow and calf or the 2 cows that have grown up together and the calves can go seperatley.

They have been grown, fed, wormed and treated as 'naturally' as possible.

This little lady is a Partridge Welsummer, she comes running to greet me every day, sits at my feet and waits to get picked up, the we march back to the coop together, with bucket in hand and dives into the feed as i pour it into their trays.
I think every flock should have at least one of these girls in the mix.

🐥 Chicks: starter crumble
🐓 Growers: pullet grower feed
🥚 Layers: layer pellets
