Gelding day yesterday. 3 boys feeling a little quieter today. All moving around well and happily eating so good to finally have some done
Dental work for a young mare in preparation to heading off to be started under saddle.
In about a months time there will be a castration clinic held here so if you have any g3ldings or other veterinary work you need done please get in touch. It will be somewhere between 4 to 6 weeks time. More once we have worked out numbers.

Long weekend in June 11th we are holding a camp out fully self contained and trail ride. Part of Friday and Sat morning we will be creating some trail obstacles in the scrub.
Horse hay will be supplied for the weekend at $20 per horse, water available byo buckets.

Wednesday night Vanessa, Kyler and I squeezed a relaxing ride in before our usual Wed night date night dinners. Well the first 200m was relaxing. I'm riding a young horse broken in 3or 4 years back and not ridden since. They always say ride 3 is the one to watch out for. Anyway Zip took fright to the dog running along behind him when he caught him out the corner of his eye, took fright, spun in a nanosecond, put in a jump and a buck. All this took place whilst I was riding along on a loose rein. To say I'm sore is an understatement. I have big dark bruising on one leg and arm while my opposite side knee is double in size. It really hurts. Upside is I climbed back on and had a good rest of a ride. Tonight he was a superstar. So proud of him, went back over dented ground, he was a gem. Took in some new challenges and faced them with trust and want to try. Glad I dragged my sore and sorry butt back into the saddle tonight. Was worth every groan.

Have been so busy trying to survive this drought that haven't had much time for keeping this page happening. Have young horses waiting to be handled. A heap to register but purchasing feed has taken precedence over everything. Will try and keep you all up to date on more happenings.

I have just been speaking to a farmer at Minlaton who has frosted hay for sale at 260 a ton. I have asked him to hold some back for our local farmers who are doing it tough. If anyone wants some please contact me for his number. I have 1 truck organised for myself happy to go in on a load if anyone wants a part load. Sorry everyone I haven't updated for ages have been crazy trying to buy hay and keep everyone Alive in this horrendous drought. We have had to put 3 retirees down as well as 2 cows that went down. Not sure why as we're still healthy. One was aged. Every day is a struggle sourcing hay and feeding after work.

Yesterday was a bit of a rush for me. Had a 12 hour day between work and cattle feeding. So I never managed to get this pic up. Ivy has given us her final foal. We are blessed with a filly to fill her mothers place in time in our breeding program. Pip as we call the foal is by Charmed Im Sure. We will be placing Ivys rising 2yo palomino filly on the market.
