We have the gorgeous old Bailey staying with us at the moment, whom we've known for many years now. He is definitely getting in touch with his inner puppy! We also welcomed Fletcher and Misty for an overnight visit to see if they will enjoy our environment for a planned longer stay in a little while... safe to say they are both fitting in beautifully!

Keep 'em cool this week!

• Plenty of fresh drinking water
• Create a cool space (preferably inside under the air conditioner!)
• Limit outdoor time, particularly between 10am - 4pm
• Cooling mats, wet towels, or even cool tiles to lie on
• Doggy pools (but make sure they're not in direct sun)
• Avoid hot surfaces
• Consider frozen treats and indoor enrichment activities
• Know the signs of heatstroke

Happy New Year everyone! Although it's already nearly half-way through January. We have the lovely Jill, Rosie & Jasper and newcomer Chester visiting at the moment. Chester is here overnight as a trial to see if he likes our environment. It's safe to say he's slotted in beautifully :)

This morning Moe and I were lucky enough to give Julie's brand new swim spa for dogs a try, interspersed with massage. At one point, Julie and I were chatting, and Moe turned around and pawed her hand as if to say, "Hey, lady... chat and massage, thanks!"

We'll definitely be back for more swim spa action at Wellness Centre for Dogs and their Humans and highly recommend for our dog loving friends.

Julie Edwards is SO knowledgeable and has helped us to implement exercise activities to assist Moe's growth and development, and now he's hit 2 years', he's really starting to come into his own.

She's also one of the nicest humans you'll meet, with a genuine desire to help dogs and their owners thrive.

We hope you've all had a lovely day and your hearts and bellies are full!

Earlier this morning we all had a romp and play, followed by a present for all courtesy of Jill's human, then Jill's own pressie and a gorgeous matching hand-made gift for Arnie and Moe from a special "Auntie".

Now Christmas dinner with some yummy extra treats for all!

Early beach trip for our gang today. We generally stay away from dog beaches because little dogs can trigger prey drive in some dogs (speaking from experience), but it's possible with two of us and we were early enough to beat the rush.

We've been pretty absent on this page for a little while now. Some of you will know that the second half of this year has been a challenging one health wise for our (human) family, but we're ending the year with positivity and hope for a better 2025.

We are full for Christmas and New Year, but we'll be welcoming back old friends and new next year, so if you have a social hound who needs a home environment to holiday in, please get in touch using messenger. Despite cost of living increasing constantly, we have decided to maintain our pricing as is going into 2025.

Our Story and Terms of Boarding

We offer specialised, non-cage boarding for social, sterilised and vaccinated dogs in our own home. A condition of dogs who board with us is that they must be very social with other dogs - large and small.

DISCLAIMER (the serious stuff)

By boarding your dog(s) with Kelly & Sam’s, you accept the following terms and conditions.

Kelly & Sam’s Dog Boarding will take all reasonable care for your dog(s) whilst boarding. However, except in the case of gross or wilful negligence, we shall not be liable in any way, and the pet owner hereby releases and indemnifies Kelly & Sam’s Dog Boarding from and against any such liability, for any illness, injury, escape, or death.

Should the dog require, in Kelly & Sam’s opinion, veterinary treatment while boarding, such treatment will be at the owner’s expense. Kelly & Sam’s will, except in case of emergency, use reasonable endeavour to contact the owner and / or nominated emergency contact prior to seeking veterinary treatment. The decision to obtain veterinary treatment and choice of treating veterinarian is entirely at the discretion of Kelly and Sam’s. If the owner cannot be contacted and / or in the event of emergency all decisions regarding treatment of the dog are at the Kelly & Sam’s absolute discretion based upon veterinary advice and Kelly & Sam’s shall have no responsibility in relation to the outcome or costs of such treatment. All veterinary costs incurred by Kelly & Sam’s must be reimbursed in full on collection of the dog.

The owner warrants that any known health or behavioural issues concerning the dog(s) have been fully disclosed to Kelly & Sam’s prior to commencement of boarding and that, except as so disclosed, the dog is sound and healthy. Kelly & Sam’s reserves the right not to accept the dog for boarding if it appears to have an illness or injury or demonstrates aggression, or for any other reason in Kelly & Sam’s absolute discretion. If during boarding the dog demonstrates aggressive behaviour such that Kelly & Sam’s is reasonably of the view that the dog represents a threat to humans or other dogs, Kelly & Sam’s may require the owner or nominee to remove the dog from the premises immediately and will contact the owner and/or nominated emergency contact to arrange this. Alternatively, Kelly & Sam’s may relocate the dog to another boarding facility of their choosing.
