Meet sweet Dorothy ❤️ Please share her story and donate if you can 💲💲

Dear Supporters,

We’d love to share a little more of our beautiful Dorothy’s journey.

Dorothy was first assessed by one of our volunteers on her way to a weekend getaway. This sweet soul was just too lovely to leave in the pound until Monday—so she gatecrashed the trip and got to enjoy her very first holiday, complete with a warm bath and plenty of naps.

During her stay, we noticed Dorothy had some dental issues and mammary tumors. We knew these would need attention once she could see the vet. When she met Dr. Ivan, he confirmed what we already knew—this old girl was an absolute sweetheart. A treatment plan was put in place.

But just days later, we noticed something wasn’t quite right. A follow-up check confirmed our concerns: Dorothy had pyometra, a serious uterine infection, and needed life-saving surgery immediately. With a long weekend approaching, we acted quickly. Dorothy underwent surgery and stayed in emergency care to ensure a safe recovery.

True to her fighting spirit, Dorothy pulled through. But her journey wasn’t over—further testing revealed she has lymphoma. Given her condition, we've made the decision to keep Dorothy as a forever foster, allowing her to live out her days in the love and comfort of her wonderful foster home.

Now, we’re reaching out to you—our amazing community—to help cover Dorothy’s current vet bills and set aside a little extra for the care she’ll continue to need.

Over the next 72 hours, we’ll be reaching out to the winning bidders via private message. Auction items will be ready for collection in approximately 7 days, and we’ll be in touch to arrange pick-up once payment has been received.
