Hi Musky Paws crew 👋🏻
I hope you're all doing well. I just wanted to share a little gold nugget of knowledge with you.
Over the last three weeks, I've noticed that every single pup coming through my doors has been shedding like crazy.
Now for this time of year (middle of winter) it seems like there's a serious problem. Or is there 🤔
So I decided to go through the last 75 years of recorded weather patterns. I extrapolated the data via a spreadsheet and.... just kidding 😂
I asked my friend Google one simple question. Are we due to experience an El Niño or La Niña event. And yes we are!!
El Niño was declared active in mid June this year.
And according to BOM it's the strongest one we've experienced in 150 years of record keeping.
What does this mean? It means that we should pay closer attention to our pets because this years summer is set to be a hot one and our pets bodies have picked up on the temperature anomaly that has already begun and therefore... shedding to get ready.
So don't fret. Your precious pal isn't getting their summer bikini out for no apparent reason.
