Dogs love to wander, so naturally, they don't always want to walk at our pace 🥴
Loose lead walking takes practice, patience and a little less rushing to get somewhere 🤙
Here's a tip: leave the destination out of it 😉
Set aside time for a walk where you don't need to be anywhere by a certain time. This lets you focus on training instead of trying to get from A to B 🙌
Try stopping regularly. When your dog stops with you and sits, reward them with a treat 🥩
Over time, they will start to anticipate these little pauses and learn to stay closer, checking in with you to see what's next or when that yummy treat is coming again 🤤
