🐾❤️ **MEET THE GIRL BEHIND OUR MASCOT!** ❤️🐾

You might recognise her! Her caricature is actually part of the **Dog Days Down Under logo!**

But there's a rather special story behind why she holds that place.

When I first arrived in Australia from Scotland, I was on a bridging visa and wasn't allowed to work for a year.

That was incredibly difficult for me. I'd left behind my dog walking business, **Dog Days**, and all my lovely doggy clients in Scotland. Suddenly, I had no dogs to walk and no business to run.

But then our lovely neighbour came to my rescue!

He kindly allowed me to take his beautiful girl out for walks.

I didn't receive any money for those walks, but honestly, that wasn't what mattered. Having at least one dog in my life during that difficult year made such a difference to me.

She became a treasured friend and a very special part of my life.

So when I eventually established my Australian business, **Dog Days Down Under**, it felt only right that she should become its mascot.

And what a mascot she is!

Gentle by nature, incredibly intelligent and SUPER FAST! Just watch her go! ⚡🐶

Her caricature is part of our logo, but the real girl will always have a very special place in the story of Dog Days Down Under.

🐾❤️ **Another Friend Made at Dog Days Down Under!** ❤️🐾

Look who’s making more friends! 🥰

Our lovely girl on the left has made *another* friend on her one-hour walks with me! 🐶💕 This was her second walk with her new walking buddy, and they’re getting along beautifully!

After carefully introducing them on their first walk and assessing how they responded to each other, I was happy to let them walk side by side this time.

And what a success! They enjoyed sharing sniffs, exploring together and respecting each other’s space. 🌿🐾

Both girls know from their many individual walks with me that they are loved and safe in my care. ❤️ That meant they could relax and focus on getting to know each other.

🐾😂 WELL, THAT WAS UNEXPECTED! 😂🐾

Today this little girl was very excited to come across her friend's garden and popped in for a visit before continuing her hour's walk of sniffing and exploring. 🐶🌿

I suspect someone stole my thunder today! 🤣❤️

“What walk? I have social engagements!” 😍😂🐾

Never mind, there was still plenty of sniffing and exploring to be done! 💕

So being that I am not well at the moment I wonder would you send me some cute pictures of your sweet furbabes and non furbabes 😍. Being in a rental I am suffering moreso without a little babe to love. My rental asks that any pets are kept outside. That means no pets in my opinion. Pets don't belong outside! Yes I had pets in Scotland! No haha! not a dog. But a cat for 19 years who loved my 4 legged dog clients and hated cats! 🤣😂🤣 Not forgetting my 3 Australian Bearded Dragons one rescue toad and a Chinese Water Dragon! All my babies ❤️ As I know you know, pets are medicine. So please ! Some pet medicine to tide me over. 🥰😍🤩

🐾 **A LITTLE ANNOUNCEMENT** 🐾

Unfortunately, I’ve been hit pretty hard by a bug 🤒 and need to take the rest of this week off to rest, recover and keep hydrated. 💧

As much as I absolutely love my job and spending time with my wonderful four-legged clients, I absolutely hate letting you down! ❤️

I won’t be taking any new bookings or enquiries for the remainder of this week while I focus on getting back on my feet.

With due rest and care, I’m hoping to be fully recovered and ready to get back to doing what I love the following week. 🐶🐾

I’m sincerely sorry for any inconvenience this may cause, and I really appreciate your understanding and patience.

Take care of yourselves and your furry family members!
