🐾✂️🎉 It’s National Desexing Month! 🎉✂️🐾

Spay It Forward is proud to partner with the National Desexing Network (NDN) this July to help vulnerable WA families desex their pets and break the cycle of unwanted litters. 🐕🐈

NDN is an Australia-wide referral network working to end pet overpopulation by making desexing affordable for pet owners doing it tough — and that’s exactly what we’re here for too!

While Spay It Forward runs year-round, National Desexing Month is a special opportunity to raise awareness and connect even more eligible pet owners to help across Western Australia.💛

While we work with over 30 trusted veterinary partners, from Mt Barker to Geraldton and everywhere in between! The NDN is helping us highlight our amazing rural clinics on their map of participating locations:

⭐️Sanford Veterinary Clinic

⭐️Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals – Toodyay, Brookton, York

⭐️Pets and Vets WA - Harvey

⭐️Pets and Vets WA - Narrogin

⭐️Pets and Vets WA - Collie

⭐️Mt Barker Veterinary Hospital WA

🌆 In the Perth metro area? We’ll have a participating vet within 30 minutes of your home.

✅ To be eligible for support through Spay It Forward, you must:

✔️ Live in WA

✔️ Be 18 years or older

✔️ Hold a valid concession card, and

🐾😘🙏A big thank you to NexGard Spectra!🙏😘🐾

At our first Parvo Eradication Day in November, thanks to NexGard’s generous support, we were able to provide flea and worming treatments to over 40 dogs across Brookton and Pingelly. That’s 40 dogs protected from painful, preventable parasites—at no cost to their families!🙌

We’re incredibly grateful for NexGard’s ongoing support, not just with top-quality flea and worming products, but also leads, goodies, and more—helping us keep our regional communities healthier and our dogs happier🦮🐾

We’re back this Sunday, May 25, in Brookton for Parvo Eradication Day #2, and we’d love to help even more local pets!💛🙏

Thank you, NexGard Spectra and Boehringer Ingelheim, for standing with us in the fight against preventable disease.🙏

🐾🎉🙌We’re coming back to Brookton + Pingelly – and this time, we’re going BIG!🙌🎉🐾

FREE Parvo Eradication Day #2 is happening Sunday 25 May at the Seabrook Aboriginal Corporation Community Hall (27 King St, Brookton) from 10 AM to 2 PM – and if your a resident of Brookton and Pingelly you’re invited!

In partnership with Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals Outreach Program, we’re bringing the community:

✅️Free parvo vaccinations

✅️Free microchipping

✅️Free flea and worming treatments

✅️Free nail trimming

✅️Leads, toys, and goodies from NexGard (while supplies last!)

✅️And even free local Shire of Brookton registration for eligible pets

Canine parvovirus is deadly. It kills more dogs in Australia than any other virus. Puppies are most at risk. But one simple vaccine—99% effective—can save lives.💛🙏

We’re aiming to vaccinate over 100❗️dogs in one day, with two door-knocking teams visiting homes in Brookton and a pop-up vet clinic running at King Street.

🐾Coming to us? Keep your dog in the car, and our team will come to you!

🐾Prefer to lock in a spot? Register here:

This huge community effort is only possible thanks to a generous grant from Community Bank Pingelly and Brookton, and the support of the Shire of Brookton, WA Pet Project, Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals, and NexGard Spectra (by Boehringer Ingelheim).🌟

Thank you to our amazing local supporters for helping spread the word and get more pets jabbed:
Pingelly Community Resource Centre, Brookton Community Resource Centre, Loaded Nutrition Studio - Pingelly, and Seabrook Aboriginal Corporation - Brookton🙏

🐾🐾📢 March & April Applications Update! 📢🐾🐾

A huge thank you to everyone who has reached out to WA’s leading desexing program for support! Our small (but mighty!) volunteer team is working hard behind the scenes on some exciting expansions—including onboarding new vet clinics across WA to offer more locations and appointment availability for families in need, and advancing our Non-Urgent Care Program to help pets access more than just desexing, microchipping, and vaccinations.

We know the wait can be tough, and we truly appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to support every family and pet.
