๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’•๐ŸŽ‰Spay It Forward is Feeding It Forward with SavourLife for June๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿ’•๐Ÿพ

We are incredibly proud to announce that the WA Pet Project and our Spay It Forward program have been selected as Western Australia's ONLY community partner to team up with SavourLife for their massive Feed It Forward campaign!๐ŸŽ‰

Through this incredible partnership, we will receive a share of $250,000 worth of premium dog food to distribute directly to WA families doing it tough.๐Ÿ™Œ

For many of the families we assistโ€”including single parents, pensioners, carers, and those living with disabilitiesโ€”putting food on the table is already a daily struggle. When times are hard, even putting food in the bowls of our furry family members can feel impossible. But pets ARE family, and no one should have to face the heartbreak of being unable to feed them. This food relief is a literal sigh of relief for families this winter๐Ÿถ๐Ÿซ‚

๐ŸซถHow YOU can help us feed WA pups this June:

๐ŸพFor the entire month of June, every single time you buy a bag of SavourLife dog food at your local PETstock, a 3kg bag will be donated directly to a WA family who needs it most.

๐ŸพItโ€™s that simple: Buy a bag for your pup, and you instantly feed a rescue pup or a family pet in need right here in our community. This is going to allow us to provide direct relief on the ground and establish vital resource hubs in rural and remote areas.

So, what are you waiting for? Help us keep families together, happy, and fed this winter. Head into Petstock today!

Be a part of something better๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽ‰ Another Huge Win for WA Pets! ๐Ÿ™Œ๐ŸŽ‰๐Ÿพ

Weโ€™re excited to share that Spay It Forward has been awarded $50,000 in Round 5 of the Animal Welfare Grants from the Department of Primary Industries and Regional Development! ๐ŸŽ‰

This funding will help us continue supporting vulnerable families across WA in 2025 and 2026, providing subsidised desexing and microchipping for pets and families who need it most.

Every desexing surgery helps prevent unwanted litters. Every microchip helps bring pets home. And every grant like this helps keep families together - because pets ARE family ๐Ÿถ๐Ÿฑ

A huge thank you to DPIRD for backing our mission and helping us create lasting change in animal welfare across Western Australia.

Together, weโ€™re making a differenceโ€”one pet, one family at a time. ๐Ÿพ

๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’› Thank You, Brookton & Pingelly! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ

What an incredible day we had in Brookton yesterday at our third Parvo Eradication Day! Final numbers are still being tallied, but there are now at least 80 dogs in Brookton protected against deadly canine parvovirus ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿถ

In total, we saw over 100 dogs for all the services we had on offer, including microchipping, flea and worming treatments, and registrationsโ€”helping keep pets healthier and families supported.
This day wouldnโ€™t have been possible without our incredible partners and supporters:

๐Ÿ™ Heartlands Veterinary Hospitals for delivering vital veterinary care through their Outreach Program
๐Ÿ™ Shire of Brookton for sponsorship and in-kind support
๐Ÿ™ Nexgard Spectra for their donation of flea and worming treatments
๐Ÿ™ Community Bank Pingelly and Brookton for the $10,000 grant that kickstarted this program

๐Ÿ™Œ A very special thank you to our dedicated veterinary professionals who travelled from Perth and across the Wheatbelt to be there, and to our door-knocking teams who connected with local families to help protect even more dogs from parvovirus.

๐Ÿ‘ Shout out to the local organisations and businesses who helped spread the word:

Brookton Community Resource Centre, Shire of Brookton, Seabrook Aboriginal Corporation, Pingelly Community Resource Centre, Shire of Pingelly, Pingelly Youth Centre , and Pingelly Community Craft Centre.

Together, weโ€™re building a stronger, healthier community for pets and their people ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿพ

โ˜€๏ธ๐Ÿพ Spay It Forward โ€“ February Program Pause ๐Ÿพโ˜€๏ธ

We want to share an important update with our community, with care and transparency ๐Ÿ’›

Due to exceptionally high demand, Spay It Forward applications will be temporarily closed for the month of February, effective 4 February 2026. We expect the program to reopen in March.

This short pause is about sustainability and impact. It allows our small team to:
โ€ข Complete and acquit current grant commitments responsibly
โ€ข Support the many pets already approved and in progress
โ€ข Secure new funding so we can continue helping families into the future
โ€ข Strengthen veterinary partnerships across WA
โ€ข Develop future programs that reach even more pets and people

We know how important this support is, and we understand that this news may be disappointing. Please know this decision helps ensure Spay It Forward can continue long-term, helping more animals and families when they need it most.

๐Ÿ‘‰ Want to be notified as soon as applications reopen?
Please complete our Expression of Interest form:

๐Ÿ‘‰ Need help during February?

๐Ÿพ Saving Strays, Helping New Pet Owners and the Community ๐Ÿพ

A big heartfelt thank you to Sanford Veterinary Clinic for desexing and microchipping Freddie Fourpaws, a community stray who now has a safer and brighter future. ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿฑ

Did you know that around 18% of cat applications to our program over the past 10 months have been from people wanting to keep local strays safe and at home with them?

Helping strays stay with the people who care for them keeps them:
โœจ Out of shelters
โœจ Away from council management
โœจ In the loving homes theyโ€™ve chosen
Itโ€™s a community service we're grateful we can support๐Ÿ’›

If you have a stray you are feeding and have welcomed into your home, please consider applying to our program for financial assistance to help get them desexed and microchipped.

Thank you to all our partnered practices who help us improve the lives of cats and the people who love them across WA ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ’›
