NOTICE TO ALL MEMBERS & FOLLOWERS

We've recently had someone who was on one of our groups personally attack claiming false information about our previous rat lines etc. A rescue page who also breeds. I feel they have confused us with another breeder with a similar name.
Please note this is false given we had ceased well over a year ago and had rehomed older rats and were not longer breeding January 2022.
All were healthy (checked) and we would have never knowingly sold sick rats or suspected sick, nor bred sick rats/ rats from poor lines or genetics. Yes we had one rescue over 2 years ago but she was never bred and was purely a pet.
From July 2022 I had no rats at all because of a surgical procedure.
We take this very seriously given we had spent so much time and effort researching and educating others to get correct information out there, even completed study in animal welfare and ethics, alongside genetics- I have the certificates to prove it.
It saddens me We have been wronged and someone is actively trying to tarnish like breeders. I knew of some unethical ones which I stayed clear of. Our rehome page is open to all not just people who adopted from us- we provided ongoing support and advice to do best for adoptees and their rats.

Please be careful who you trust in the rat world- this why I decided to take a leave. It seems now even having pet rats puts you on the target list (I no longer keep any at all for this reason).
We've removed the person and had to block them on both my personal profile account and this page and groups as have been harrassed and shamed publicly falsely 😞 so cruel given what I've been through this past year outside of rats.

🐭⚠️ SEEKING OTHER BREEDERS ⚠️ 🐭

Desperately seeking other breeders to take over some of our lines. With my health and due to personal circumstances I just can’t keep doing it anymore.

I’ve been holding onto them for over a year longer than I already should have, at the expense of my own health and the worry of the work we and other past breeders have put in and the varieties being lost if we stopped.

Now it’s time to let go regardless of what may happen. I’ll keep maybe 3 or 4 of my personal favourite mice varieties but we currently have almost 15 other types on top that aren’t available anywhere else (that I know of) in Victoria, and even harder to find in other states (that I know of).
