Chalcosoma atlas - Atlas Beetles are back in stock!

Chalcosoma atlas is a large species of beetle from the Scarabidae family found in Southeast Asia. Their name comes from Atlas in Greek mythology, who held up the sky. Males have 3 prominent horns on their head that are used to fight other males and gain mating rights with females. Males range from 6-12cm while females are only 2.5-6cm.

Acherontia atropos - The Death's Head Hawkmoth restocked!😍

We sold out at the Guildford Medieval Fayre the other week and had a few people ask about them, so, as one of our most popular specimens, we are excited they are back in stock!

Acherontia atropos, or the African Death's Head Hawkmoth, is the most widely known of the Acherontia species. Death's Head moths are highly recognisable for the skull shaped pattern on their thorax, giving them their common name. The wingspan of this species can range from 8-12cm, and they are commonly found throughout Africa as well as in Southern Europe.

The Death's Head Hawkmoth is a very well-known species of insect, largely due to its appearances in popular media, including The Silence of The Lambs and Dracula.

Join us this Sunday for the Guildford Medieval Fayre 2025!! From 10am to 4pm at Stirling Square, Guildford WA!

We have been hard at work getting new stock ready for Sunday! Like last year, we will once again have twice our usual space, meaning we can provide more variety and options to choose from!

This is a day you won't want to miss! Bring your friends and family for an unforgettable day of Minstrells, Music, Dance, Free Children's Activities, Medieval Re-enactments, Market stalls and a tasty lunch at the Food Hub!

EVENT CANCELLED! Guildford Twilight Market Saturday, May 3rd.

To ensure our ongoing approval to host events in Stirling Square, we must adhere to our commitment to preserve and protect the grounds.

Rain is forecasted for Friday, continuing overnight and into Saturday.
The ground conditions will become soft, increasing the risk of damage from vehicles and foot traffic in the square. We must take this action to protect our venue.

We apologise to our vendors and patrons for the cancellation. We appreciate your understanding of the circumstances of this decision and look forward to seeing you when we return in October.

Join us on Sunday, May 18th, from 10am-4pm for the Guildford Medieval Fayre!

This is one of our biggest events of the year! Preparations have already started with new beetles, moths, butterflies, and other insects on the way! We go all out for this event, with twice the space! Meaning more stock, more tables, and more variety!

Immerse yourself in a day of battling knights in armour, wandering minstrels, Medieval themed crafts, activities, trades, and costumes! As well as 100+ Medieval inspired and artisan stalls! Gather your friends for an unforgettable day you won't want to miss!
