Hello Petal Paws Community,
I hope everyone's 2026 has been wonderful so far.
In December 2025, I put a post up giving a heads up of what 2026 may look like for me as I completed my uni degree in November 2025. I officially graduated in February from uni which was overwhelmingly awesome. Since November I have been postponing the enviable change that was coming of transitioning into a Youth Work role and holding on/cherishing my weekly bestie walks for as long as I could. A Youth Work job was advertised that I felt a strong alignment towards so I took the chance of applying. I was lucky enough to get offered the job which left me with the looming decision of what to do with Petal Paws.
So, you are probably wondering 'What does this mean for Petal Paws?'
Some changes will be occurring, however Petal Paws isn't ending completely. Unfortunately I will be stopping my weekly doggy walking. These doggies have been apart of my life beyond my Petal Paws days they are apart of my family and making the decision to stop dog walking was a very hard choice to make. Not seeing my besties every week is a sad reality for me I wasn't prepared for. If an opportunity ever arises of the possibility of a special walk, I will absolutely be reaching out to my doggy walking pawrents.
My last dog walking day will be the 12th of March. Petal Paws isn't ending, although it is changing.
Pet sitting is staying! It will look slightly different in terms of my Youth Work full time job, however this won't change my care and love I provide for your fur children. The most important thing to me is the care of your fur children and making sure they are happy and healthy whilst you holiday. So, with my new circumstances, it is important to me to make sure all the besties booked in are comfortable and used to someone working full time. I would hate to put them in a position where they become overwhelmed and anxious due to this change. I have full understanding if my pet sitting no longer suits the requirements you are after as my top priority is the needs of your pets.
This has been one of the most rewarding experiences of my life building a community of pawrents and besties over the last (almost) three years. These newest changes bring mixed emotions for me, but I will most certainly be making the most of these next two weeks with my walking besties and continue cherishing my pet sitting days.
I look forward to hearing back from my regular pet sit pawrents of what our next steps will look like. If you have any questions please feel free to send them through.
Finally, thank you for all your support it truly means the world to me and fills my heart with happiness being apart of yours and your fur children's lives. 🩷
