💛 Holiday Reminder for Dog Owners 💛
As the holidays roll around, we want to gently remind everyone that dogs shouldn’t be left alone in backyards with someone only “dropping in” once a day to feed them.
For many dogs, this setup can lead to:
• 🐾 Loneliness and anxiety
• 🐾 Excessive barking or destructive behaviour
• 🐾 Escape attempts and injuries
• 🐾 Missed signs of illness, stress, or heat/cold exposure
Dogs are social animals. They thrive on routine, interaction, supervision, and companionship—not just a bowl of food and a quick check-in.
If you’re heading away, please consider:
✔️ A trusted house-sitter
✔️ Staying with friends or family
✔️ A reputable boarding kennel or in-home pet sitter
✔️ Bringing your dog along where possible
Planning proper care isn’t just about feeding—it’s about welfare, safety, and emotional wellbeing.
Let’s make sure our dogs are as happy and cared for as we are this holiday season 🐶❤️
