It’s a different kind of today, friends and neigh-bours, as we slap our hooves and doff our (jockey) caps to the newly inaugurated First Ladies of Queensland racing, and !

You know the story but let’s hear it again anyway: Ange just became to first woman to secure the Brisbane metro jockeys’ premiership with an eye-watering win count of 66. Emily was hot on her heels with 64 wins for the season, and their showdown went right down to the last metro race of the day! Phwoar! If that don’t give ya the vapours you’d better call a doctor. 🥵

There really were no losers today either, with Emily saluting as the top Brisbane apprentice jockey.

From all of us at – immense congratulations to you, girls!

We shall lead the huzzahs! 🥳

Look out your windows, friends and neigh-bours, and up to the flawless maroon sky of this, the glorious aftermath of Origin Game 3. What a game, what a decider, what a cracking QLD win!

And just as gloriously, here comes another wherein we beam with maroon pride for our girl GIVE GIGGLES who gave us more than merriment when she gave them a galloping lesson last Wednesday over the sacred ground of Eagle Farm to win big at every QLDer’s favourite race, the ###X Gold Class 5 Handicap! Swipe => and get your peepers on our girl putting it between the posts with decisive downward pressure!

The Trainers
Could it be any other than the brazen brilliance of the team at ? We think not! And it is not! It is they! Once more unto the breach and once more back again for Team PL with the richest of chocolates. To Tony et al, we say: QUEENSLAND PRIDE!

The Jockey
Just as no back line is complete without a front row, no steed can gallop it alone, so join us in shouting this hoop’s name from the stands: what a ride, what a run, what a deadset TRY!

The Home Team
And of course none of it gets done without the sturdy hands of the Peachester Lodge pretraining camp, headed by Head Coach and staffed by the finest horsewomen and -men this great maroon state has ever seen. To all of ours at home: we know you work harder than cane toads, and you’re truly in a league of your own.

As ever, don’t forget the indefatigable QLD spirit of the champs at who are always right there on the field to capture all of the equinal action!

Now that the important stuff’s out of the way – crack a ###X, don your colours, and let’s keep the maroon magic rolling all day to make this post-game Thursday an absolute thriller! QUEENSLANDER! 🏆
