📢 Important Announcement 📢

⚠️ I have some bitter sweet news for those of you who are not already aware.

🚫 Paws & Relax will no longer be operating until further notice. I have loved every moment of running this business and meeting such wonderful clients.

💔 Over the years I have come to love many of your pets as if they were my own. It’s honestly heartbreaking to not be able to continue our little adventures, funny routines and cuddles!

👶🏼 The exciting part... I am due for my first baby in early February. Thank you for all the lovely cards, farewell gifts and baby gifts. I really do appreciate the love you’ve shown.

➡️ For all your pet minding needs please contact Vicki from Cujo’s Pet Minding or Anthea from Happy at Home 🏡 Both Vicki and Anthea are lovely ladies who will adore your pets.

RIP Razor 🖤

You were such a sweet boy. So shy at first but when your warmed up to me you followed me around like a shadow. Leaning your head in to me and blocking your fur siblings from getting a pat.

Recently received some very sad news.

Beautiful Shelby has passed away.

You were a special dog Shelby. You were so full of love especially when it came to your son Blackie and your amazing fur parents.

A little piece of you will live on in Blackie.

RIP sweet Shelby 🐾

Miss Colette is moving to sunny Queensland!

Sad to see this beautiful girl leave. Colette is a big fan of swimming, ball and walkies!

She made a new best friend called Abbey on our walks who will miss her dearly!

🧠 Body awareness is a great source of mental stimulation and enrichment.

🏃‍♂️ Abbey is a very energetic dog who loves a challenge.

🌲 This week we found some items at the park to practice Abbey’s body awareness. (With the help of some tasty treats!)

✅ Abbey mastered two paws up very quickly.

🐕 Give it a go next time you’re out and about with your dog. You can easily use your environment to build up your dogs balance.

🗣There are so many benefits to adopting an older dog‼️

👀 What you see is what you get! An older dog holds no surprises to how big it may get, hidden health problems or a personality that doesn’t suit you and your family.

👞 Senior dogs are past their destructive phase. You won’t need to worry about finding your favourite pair of shoes or table leg chewed!

🤹🏼You can certainly teach an old dog new tricks! Check out the Top End Rehoming Group Inc page and see what Nessie has recently learnt!

🧡People who adopt (and especially older animals) feel a special sense of pride and purpose in opening their heart to a hard-to-place pet. Doing a good thing really does make you feel good!
