These two beautiful shaggy girls had their groom cancelled last minute… and with guests flying in from NZ on Christmas Eve, we needed a miracle 🐾💫

Thankfully, my beautiful friend Deb, saved the day!
💚🙌

With years of grooming experience + her pup-loving energy, this Mother/Daughter duo were rescued!



I was lucky enough to be Deb’s apprentice for the day… and yes, I left looking like the pups long lost cousin, all covered in fur 😂 but it was worth it to learn from the best!

Gin & Scar are now summer-ready, feeling freshhhhh and just in time for Christmas 🎁🐾🐶

There’s a certain grief that comes with bushfires…
Because it isn’t just land that burns.

It’s the homes built with love
The paddocks and fences that hold a lifetime of work
The trees that have stood for generations
The farms that feed families
The memories stitched into every corner of the land

And I can’t stop thinking of the animals 🐾

Wildlife absolutely sense danger.
Smoke, heat, sound, vibration, changing winds.
They’re not “clueless”, their instincts are incredible.

But do they understand the scale and speed of modern bushfires…
How fire can surround them
How roads and fences can trap them
How it can burn for days and destroy food and water

And even when they know… they still can’t always get away 😔

To every family watching the sky and hoping the wind turns… I’m so sorry.

To every firefighter and volunteer, thank you for risking everything to save lives. 🤍🔥

Dear Local Paws fam 🐾
We hope you’ve all had a lovely Christmas! 🎅🎄

Local Paws (sitting & walking) will be back up and running from 12th January, with limited AM-only walks available to start. Full availability come February.

From 1 January, we’ll be making slight changes to our prices (effective 12 January), along with updates to our booking and cancellation policies. Full details, including updated pricing and fees, will be sent via text come the new year.

🎅🐾 SANTA’S PAW-SQUAD HAS ARRIVED 🐾🎅

Some lucky Local Paws pups went on a little field trip to deliver their wish lists (mostly treats… obviously 🦴😌) straight to Santa.

These angels showed up in their festive fits and full of cheer. They were so well-behaved!! Honestly, I didn’t expect anything less because Local Paws has the “goodest” boys and girls all making the nice list this year 🎄✨
