The end of an era. As many of you already know, the VEC has been sold to a private entity last year. The Victorian Equestrian Centre as it was known is sadly no longer. The Venue was advertised for a long period of time in a fair attempt to try and find someone who would re open the VEC as a venue again after the Kennedy's chose to retire from ownership as an open venue. Every effort was made to try and create an opportunity for a buyer to come in and reopen to the public but the only serious interest was for private purchase only. At the end of the day the property needed to be sold. This now leaves the VEC business name and page available to any equestrian related business who may find use for its brand. Please no sad or angry emotions.... the place had to be sold and no one willing to re open it came along despite alot of try and patience. Thank you.

Victorian Equestrian Centre employment opportunity.

Casual stable hand position.
Monday - Sunday split shifts of 1+ hours.
(Sunday set pay rate)

REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have horse experience with range of horses
- Must be reliable, flexible and willing to work
- Must be of working age
- Must have reliable transport to and from the VEC
- Must be able to work collaboratively as we have multiple feeding staff

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:
AM feeding and rugging
PM feeding and rugging
Harrowing paddocks
Small maintenance jobs
Driving automatic utility vehicle

Thank you to all who attended Freshmans Showjumping Last night! A bit of a test run to see how many we’d get through.. safe to say it was a success!
So in the future there will be an online event register for everyone planning on attending as well as our ticket and forms office being more easily located outside (unless it raining).

We’re looking into some more fancy fill for the jumps in larger classes.

Stay safe and stay home through the lockdown, see you all soon! 🙌🏻

When you arrive, register via the QR Code in the tea room and buy your tickets, sign your waiver. Masks to be worn inside.

Once you’ve completed your rounds please leave for home..

CASUAL STABLEHAND FOR MONDAY - FRIDAY WANTED.
These shifts will be split Monday-Friday at 7am and 4pm.
Generally no longer than 1.5hrs per shift.
Extra hours may become available to the right candidate who is willing to take on more responsibility.
Some weekend work may be required, but will not be often.
PLEASE ONLY APPLY IF YOU FIT THESE REQUIREMENTS.
This is a long term position.

🤓🤓🤓ALL persons attending the VEC MUST register their attendance via the QR Code in the tea room or the written register if your phone is not compatible with the code.

Masks MUST be worn indoors unless you are riding a horse or coaching a lesson.. until government direction otherwise.
