🐾 Tripawd Awareness: Thriving on Three Legs! 🐾

Losing a limb doesn’t mean losing joy! Three-legged pets, or “tripawds,” adapt incredibly well and live happy, active lives. With the right care, they can run, play, and snuggle just like any other fur baby. 💛

🦴 How to Support a Tripawd:
✅ Keep them at a healthy weight to reduce strain.
✅ Provide gentle exercise to build strength.
✅ Consider ramps for easier access to couches & beds.
✅ Regular vet check-ups to monitor joint health.

At Paddington Vet, we offer expert amputation services and aftercare to help tripawds live their best lives. If you have a three-legged pet or are considering adopting one, we’re here to support you every step of the way! 🐶🐱

🐾 Grace’s Journey: A Story of Strength & Care 🐾

Meet Grace, a brave girl who recently faced a tough health battle—but with the love of her owners and the care of our team, she’s back to enjoying life! 💕

🔍 It all started when Grace became hesitant to jump, lost her appetite, and even had a bout of shaking. After exams and tests, we discovered a painful tooth root abscess and swelling under her tongue, making it hard for her to eat.

🦷 A COHAT (Comprehensive Oral Health Assessment and Treatment) revealed the issue, and we performed a much-needed tooth extraction. With pain relief, antibiotics, and lots of TLC, Grace bounced back—ready for park walks again! 🌳🐶

✨ Grace’s story is a reminder that small behaviour changes can signal bigger health issues. If your fur baby isn’t quite themselves, don’t wait—early intervention makes all the difference.

As we prepare to ring in 2025, let’s make sure our beloved fur babies stay safe, secure, and stress-free during the celebrations. 🐾

🎆 Keep them secure indoors: Fireworks can be overwhelming for pets. Keep them inside, and if loud noises frighten them, consider arranging a sitter.
🎆 Create a cosy retreat: A quiet, dark room with their favourite bed or crate can help them feel calm and safe.
🎆 Check ID details: Every New Year’s Eve, there’s a rise in lost pets. Ensure your pet’s microchip and tags have up-to-date information.
🎆 Offer comfort and distractions: Play calming music, provide a favourite toy, or snuggle up to reassure them.

Let’s step into 2025 with peace of mind, knowing our pets are happy and secure. Wishing you and your furry friends a joyful, healthy, and safe New Year! 💕🐶🐱
