Goodbye Bay Bordoodles & Labradoodles… and hello Pacific Haven Paws! 🐾🤎

As we temporarily step back from our breeding program, we still want to continue offering our exceptional boys, Bluey and Banjo as studs, while we move into a slightly different chapter.

The name change simply reflects where we are now. We’re no longer based in Hervey Bay and have relocated to Pacific Haven, around 45 minutes away, so changing the name felt like the best way to avoid confusion and better represent where we’re located.

Both Bluey and Banjo have completed DNA health testing through Embark, and we are currently working through additional health testing, including hip, elbow and patella scoring, along with ophthalmology clearances. Once these results are finalised, their service fees will increase to reflect the additional testing and the quality of the boys we are offering.

We’d love for you to follow along as Pacific Haven Paws moves into this next chapter, with a greater focus on dog sports, canine activities, support for other breeders and offering Bluey and Banjo to suitable programs.

There is still a possibility we may have one litter early next year, potentially Cavoodles or Miniature Poodles, but for the most part we’ll be stepping back from breeding for around two years.

Same dogs, same standards, same love for what we do — just a new name and a slightly different direction. 🐾

It was an early morning start for these 3 Bordoodles who are on their way to Brisbane. Freddie is off to Perth and Snickers is off to Sydney. Bella is getting picked up in Brisbane. The last of the Bordoodles to fly the nest!

A little something extra special in your puppy packs ❤️

With every litter, I’ve always tried to support a small local business when putting together our puppy packs.

Last litter, our puppies went home with personalised harnesses from Crakka Jack Pet Apparel. The litter before that, we supported a local pet treat business, and before that, Paws and Kisses in Hervey Bay made special collars for our babies.

But for our final litters, I wanted to support someone very close to home — my 11-year-old daughter, Heidi, and her brand-new resin art business. ❤️

Heidi washes dogs with me on Saturdays, but she has also been such an important part of raising these puppies. She has spent countless hours playing with them, handling them, teaching them and helping them learn about the world.

If your puppy automatically sits when they see a treat, already recognises their name, or just seems suspiciously well behaved… you probably have Heidi to thank for that! 😂❤️

For their puppy packs, Heidi decided she wanted to make every puppy their very own handmade resin name tag.

She has spent hours learning how to work with resin, choosing colours and decorations, learning about measurements and discovering just how precise resin work needs to be.

Are they perfect? No.

But they are her very first attempt, they were made completely by hand, and every single one was made especially for your puppy with so much love. 🥹

As these are our last litters, Heidi is a little sad to say goodbye. She wanted each of the puppies to leave with a special little piece of her to remember the first eight weeks of their lives.

So please keep their little tag somewhere special. ❤️ One day, when your puppy is older and those crazy puppy days seem like a distant memory, I hope you can look at it and remember the little 11-year-old girl who helped raise them and loved them before they were yours.

We are incredibly sad that this chapter of our lives is coming to an end, but we’re also excited for the new beginnings ahead.

I hope these puppies bring you a lifetime of love, laughter and joy, just as they have brought to us during their first eight weeks.

Today, Bluey and I did our very first scent work session! 👃🐶

I actually wasn’t going to go because I’ve been having car issues, but I decided to take the risk because I really wanted to give Bluey the opportunity — and I’m so glad I did!

For those who have met Bluey, you’ll know that he is a whole lot of dog packed into a tiny package. 😂 He has a very busy brain, plenty of energy and is always looking for something to do, so I’ve been trying to find a dog sport that really suits him.

Bluey has always had a keen nose, so I thought scent work might just be his thing… and didn’t he prove me right! 💙

For his very first session, he did SO well. He was working alongside Labradors and a Belgian Shepherd and absolutely held his own, proving that our little doodles can — and do — make fantastic sporting dogs! 🐕🏆

I’m really excited to see how far we can take this. Scent work is just the beginning… I’d love to eventually venture into mantrailing and maybe even scurry dog as well!

I think we may have found Bluey’s thing. 🥹💙

Murphy, Vada, Bella, Freddie and Snickers were the first of the puppies to get their vet check, vaccination and microchip from the lovely team at Tinana Vet Surgery. As if their day couldn’t get any worse, they also had their first puppy groom at Lexi’s Dog Grooming! A big day of firsts for these 5 babies 💙
