๐ฃ So great to see our club members and their dogs featured ๐๐พ
Step onto the training grounds at Brisbane Dog Training Club in Oxley and youโll discover something special.
For more than 60 years, this volunteer-run club has been helping Queenslanders build calmer, happier relationships with their dogs with the benefits extending far beyond the field ๐พ
Thanks to support from a GCBF grant, the club has been able to upgrade to modern, next-generation agility equipment that meets updated national safety standards. This new equipment significantly reduces the risk of injury for dogs during training and competitions.
From puppy preschool to agility, tricks, and scent work, every class is built on reward-based learning and positive reinforcement. But it isn't just a place to train, it's a place that fosters real community. Strangers become friends, volunteers develop their confidence and leadership skills, and families strengthen their connection with their pets.
And the dogs are thriving! Positive training means fewer behavioural issues, which keeps more dogs out of shelters and in safe, loving homes where they belong.
The clubโs impact can be found beyond its members, with its various dog sport competitions drawing hundreds of visitors from across South-East Queensland, bringing extra life and cute paws to local cafรฉs and shops.
