My Kind of Vet

My Kind of Vet We care for all pets and people with kindness and respect. We want every pet to have a positive experience in every single visit.

We are passionate about building relationships with our clientd and educating them about their pets health. A holistic vet treats not only the symptoms presented by your pet, but also their mind and soul, promoting health and wellbeing. We design individualized treatment for your pet, based on his/her history, lifestyle, diet, environment and the circumstances that precipitated an illness. Once we

are able to interpret your pet’s condition, we use different forms of treatment, such as pharmaceutical medicine, herbal medicine, naturopathy, acupuncture, diet modification and manual manipulation (massage, rehabilitation). Using diversified techniques, we avoid the use of unnecessary chemicals that can cause side-effects and compromise your pet’s health even further.

Here's what every Golden Years pet walks away with 👇

A written report — one page, plain English — covering every test we ran. What's looking great. What's worth watching. What we'd suggest next. With a personal note from your vet.

We send it as a PDF, or print a colour copy at the clinic if you'd like something physical to keep.

Because senior pet care should feel as thoughtful as your pet is.

There's something about an old dog.

The way they slow down with us. Follow us room to room. Sleep heavier, lean longer, ask for nothing but our company.

Senior cats too — the gentlest, knowing kind of company. Quieter than they used to be, but still very much there.

This winter, while we're all inside a bit more, we wanted to do something for them. Something kind.

So we've put together the Golden Years Health Check — a complete, calm, unhurried wellness check for our senior patients. Bloods to look at the kidneys, the liver, the thyroid. Blood pressure (so easy to miss). Urine. A lymphoma screen for the dogs. And a beautiful written report you can keep.

Because more good years together starts with knowing what's really going on inside.

For our older dogs and cats — and the people who love them.

Dogs $519 · Cats $459 · Add the annual vaccine for just $38 more at the same visit.

We are please to have a partnership with Cat Rescue Gold Coast Inc. to help them with this amazing work for our community.

Desexing is fundamental to stop the overpopulation of cats.

Please consider donating to this beautiful cause.

🚨 DONATIONS URGENTLY NEEDED 🚨

This is one of the longest posts we’ve ever written, but this situation needs it.

We appreciate you taking the time to read, share or comment. Anything at all to help us help them 🙏

Last night we took SEVEN tiny 2 week old kittens into care. We tried everything to get mum cat, but despite our efforts we just couldn’t get her.

The kittens had to be taken. Leaving them there would have been a death sentence! They were cold, wet, and suffering from cat flu, with discharge from their tiny eyes and noses.

Originally there were 8 in the litter. One baby was sadly found passed away.

This area has around 30 cats and is growing! The females are having litter after litter! There's at least another 5 pregnant cats there already.

The reality is we cannot place all these cats into foster care quickly enough or even afford all their vet work even if we did.

What we CAN do right now is stop this cycle! No cat deserves this life. We MUST get these cats desexed ASAP and end the suffering.

If you can help by donating towards desexing a cat we would be so thankful.

💙 $130 will desex a male
❤️ $160 will desex a female

Every single donation, no matter how small, will help. We will use the money donated to this for this colony specifically and we will continue to update on the money raised and the cats that have been desexed. This will be done along side our usual rescue work and other fundraisers.

One of the most special parts of working in veterinary medicine is the connection we build with our community.

Today, Dr Sonja received a beautiful hamper and heartfelt card after helping care for Benjamin during an emergency — and it was such a lovely reminder of the kindness that exists between people and the teams who care for their animals.

Behind every emergency, late night, difficult decision, happy outcome, and emotional moment, there are real people who genuinely care deeply about the pets in front of them.

We feel incredibly lucky to do what we do and to be surrounded by such thoughtful, generous humans along the way 💛

On Anzac Day, we remember the courage, sacrifice, and mateship of all who have served and continue to serve, including the animals who stood beside them. From horses and dogs to carrier pigeons, their loyalty and bravery will never be forgotten.

Today, we reflect on their service and honour their legacy with gratitude and respect. Lest we forget. 🌺
