Over the years, I’ve both informally and formally retrained several off-the-track Thoroughbreds in partnership with RV, successfully competing with them along the way. Beyond training, I love working with horses to improve their movement, comfort, and overall well-being using Emmett Therapy techniques and Equine Myofunctional Therapy. Seeing their progress—whether it's in performance, relaxation,

or confidence—reinforces my commitment to providing a holistic approach to retraining and coaching. Coaching isn't just about instruction—it’s about witnessing transformation, building confidence, and celebrating progress. Seeing your clients improve, gain trust in their abilities, and receive positive feedback must be incredibly fulfilling. The connection you build with them and their horses is likely just as meaningful as the technical growth. I took some time off to focus on my family, but now I’m ready to get back to work, reconnect with old clients, and meet new ones. It’s been a great break, but I’m excited to jump back into what I love and see where this next chapter takes me!

Thank you to the team at Gisborne HT for an awesome event! My first time travelling up to this event and had a great time.

Drummy and I didn’t quite finish the event how we would have liked but we made it around and had some more learning experiences and lessons. I love this horse and the feeling he gives when we get it all together 💚

Our Story

My whole life I have been lucky enough to grow up on a farm. What made my farm life even better was having the opportunity to have horses (from birth), and being able to ride at home and compete them! With my mum’s side of the family heavily into horses there was always a pull to ride with my cousins and head to events that they would also be at. With growing up society pushes you in the direction to finish school, go to university or get a good paying job. I have given that a fair go since leaving school getting a job and even going back to university as a mature aged student; but I always had this internal drive that pulled me back to the farm and my horses. SO HERE I AM – starting my very own retraining & coaching business, I am incorporating my two biggest passions; horses and helping others to improve (coaching). I have informally retrained a few OTT TBs over the my life and have competed successfully with them. Now I want to do it on a bigger scale and help find as many ponies and horses a home and help new owners have the confidence to deal with their quirks. I have also been coaching for the last two years and have loved seeing my students improve each time and hearing the feedback they are getting from others about how much they have improved and how lovely their riding is!

Also I have my side hustle - a little thing I do on the side for some extra spending money!! You can too!!
