From the Kiddikatz Monsters Inc litter, Fred and Mabel - aka Sully and Boo.
Please read carefully the comments and recommendations below from Candice. Fred and Mabel are to be rehomed as a duo and aren’t to be separated. They are inside only cats with a secure cat run for outside fun is preferred.

“We got Fred and Mabel about 7 years ago and for the first few years, they got all the love and attention a Tonkinese cat rightly deserves. A lap each on front of the TV at night, sleeping on the bed (ok, in the bed!), playing fetch, tummy rubs at every demand, a massaging brush every week, and constant conversation throughout the day. But over the last 4 years, we've had 2 kids, and with no family close by, our kids gradually took over all of our time and energy. Fred and Mabel started showing signs of stress, and more recently with the arrival of our second baby a year ago, this has become increasingly difficult for all of us. At times I've tried to focus on them more, and the tricky behaviours from stress reduced almost immediately but as time goes on, it's not sustainable for us and it's not fair on them. I'm heartbroken in this decision because they feel like an integral part of our family, and like they are and could only ever be 'our' cats; the quirky, over-familiar, curious, loving and gorgeous Fred and Mabel. But, going through our photos tonight has driven home the message that they don't have the life they used to, and they have so much more love and companionship, and entertainment to give (and receive!!!).

We are in no rush because finding the right home is really important. We don't want them separated and they are best in a home with no little kids and probably no other pets - maybe a gentle chilled dog but I'm not sure! They will be ok with people who work full time out of the home as long as the evenings and big chunks of weekends are spent around them. They are on a special diet (Fred had a blocked urethra over a year ago, but the diet and filter water seems to have sorted that out). They are indoor cats but enjoy a supervised and time limited stroll to eat some grass - and best that this is regular otherwise Fred will become very vocal about it! Alternatively, they will be fine to stay indoor cats only as long as they don't know outside is an option! The adjustment will probably be really big for them (and us!) and I'd like to be as helpful as possible in that process so willing to do whatever would support it to be successful. They are best suited to cat lovers especially given these are not your typical domestic cats - they will nuzzle their way into your bed and into your heart. 2 much loved male tonks for rehoming. They need to stay TOGETHER. The cats are used to a male owner, so that may be preferred.

Chaos (9) and Misha (4) are needing a new place to call their own. Their owner has passed away. At present they are in Mullumbimby, being cared for by the owner's son. He is working with the Animal Welfare League to find the best possible home. Please look through all the information.

I have just brought Reuben home from the vet. Last week he and Myrtle had their vaccinations and checks. Reuben had previously had all his teeth out due to bad gums and rotting teeth, leaving him with just his 4 canines. Today he had the remaining canines removed. 🥺😢

Strangely in September while I was away for a week, one of his top canines dropped out by itself, leaving him with just 3. 🫨 I was advised that his remaining top canine was found to be wobbly, so I was took him today to have it removed. It turns out that the others were also diseased and had to be removed. 😞 I did see them in a jar and the roots were blackened. I’m thankful that he is no longer uncomfortable, and the teeth were extracted easily, so not a long anaesthetic. Thank you Chirnside Park Vet for your care.

He has come home in high spirits, I have just fed him, his now wet food diet. He is on antibiotics and Metacam for 5 days.

You can see his gums, but still he is SO handsome and delicious, he is my love. 💖💖💖

Ten years ago today was the start of Kiddikatz Tonkinese. Myrtle gave birth to 6 kiddi’s, sadly one was stillborn and unable to be revived. 🥺

Happy 10th Birthday to Little Boy Blue, Rock Chick, Baby Spice, Fudge Green Lantern. Being my first litter, I hadn’t yet set up my ‘themed’ litter names.
All kiddi’s went on to have name changes in their new living homes.
