Have you seen and or listened to them all?

LifeWise have hosted 14 webinars over the past 12 months, each one dedicated to helping you put your pet on a path to better health.

The most recent episode focussed on cat nutrition. This call featured a special guest, an animal behaviourist with a world of experience in the areas of cats. Did you miss it?

Diets were discussed, nutritional needs were discussed and all importantly behaviours influencing our cats health were discussed. Including why some display fussiness and others struggle to drink enough.

Have you missed other episodes focussed on dogs which could be of huge value to you and your pet?

Paths to Better Pet Health webinars, so far, have shared insights on:

1. Why diversity in gut microbiome is so important when it comes to addressing skin and gut sensitivity

2. The relationship between nutrition and anxiety and the role each can have on the other.

3. Controlling body condition and weight issues

4. How nutritional needs vary through the ages (Episodes focussed on puppy, adult, geriatric)

5. What's truth in the grain vs grain free debate

6. Why omega 3 nutrient is so special

7. How growth issues come about and the window of opportunity to reduce impact.

8. What Mum needs, before, during and after whelping

Did you miss any? Now's your chance to listen.

So much of what has been shared ties back to the importance of feeding diets where essential ingredients and nutrients are in the correct ratio relative to one another and the energy of the diet.

How that applies to your situation is detailed in an episode.

What episode did you miss?

Message the episode/s topic you'd like to listen to below and we'll take care of the rest.

TIA x

The first step to consider in formulating a food nutritionally beneficial and appealing to your cat was shared yesterday. Now for the second step.

Step 2

Include the essential amino acid "Taurine".

Taurine is an amino acid which unlike dogs, cats are unable to synthesise themselves from other amino acids, through their normal metabolic processes.

For cats, Taurine needs instead to be obtained through diet. An amino acid, such as this one for cats, that must be obtained through diet alone are referred to as "essential" amino acids.

Amino acids are effectively the building blocks used by the body to create proteins needed for the proper functioning of every part of the feline body. The acids aid in the metabolic process and play an important role in the transportation and storage of nutrients. Cats health declines noticeably if this nutrient is not available in their diet over a period of time.

Taurine is exclusively found in animal-based proteins. It is critical for normal vision, digestion, heart muscle function, to maintain normal pregnancy and fetal development and to maintain a health immune system. It's important!!

That''s it for the second step, apart from saying that more than just this amino acid is incorporated in cat diets.

Keen to learn more? Look out for tomorrow's post on stop 3.... or join us this Sunday for a Paths to Better pet Health webinar focused on cats, their health and their issues. Message MORE for details.

Till tomorrow xx
