Hello to all south coast reptile society members & followers.
We bare extremely upsetting news to our members whom were close to the society.
Our dear friend & mentor Phill Harrington has sadly passed away this week. At the steady age of 74 years old Phill was extremely fit and well for his age which his sudden death has came as a shocking surprise to us all. He was one of the founding members of the “club” when it was originally started up by Nicholas Schilko, the owner of shoalhaven zoo. He eventually became a society committee members who strongly mentored this club into a family friendly society.
Rest In Peace, our dear old friend Phill Harrington.

Gday guys the decision has been made that the south coast reptile society will not be running meetings until further notice.
This is of course due to the covid-19 situation.
We are hoping this will only be for a few months coming, although this may extend depending on government’s recommendation.
If anyone has any further questions don’t hesitate to ask we will attempt to answer any questions accordingly
On behalf of the committee, thank you all for supporting the society, please stay as home if possible and attempt to stay healthy during this period.

Gday everyone just a reminder to anyone interested in reptiles or animals in general that live within shoalhaven or nearby region that the South Coast Reptile Society has their monthly meeting tonight. Held at “the shed” in front of shoalhaven zoo and adventure world.
The talk will be covering making your own mini backyard eco systems to cater for many varieties species not just reptile related. This is rather important in our current situation after all the bushfires to help with the recovery of many local species looking for shelter and possibly new breeding sanctions.
If you are interested in tonight’s speech, or would like to possibly trade some animals or enclosure, please show up around 7pm the speech will start at 7:30. Anyone who is interested but not a member will be able to enter for free and have dinner/drink for free on their first night at the society. Existing members... please spread the word, show up and bring a friend or two.
On behalf of the south coast reptile society, we hope to see you tonight 😊

Remember its meeting night this Friday (3rd) and we have James Watkins coming to talk about monitors!
James has fantastic knowledge of all monitors and has maintained a collection of multiple species for many years!
He has been published in magazines and is the head of the Biology department he works at!
The talk he will be giving will focus mainly on members from the Ridge-tail family as these are some of the most commonly keep monitors not only in Australia but also in the world!
James should have a couple animals for us to have a look at, this will be talk not to miss!

Talk starts at 7pm but come early and grab a bite to eat and have a catch up with all the members!
