✨️🧁 RSPCA Cupcake Day!! 🧁✨️

We have some excitingly delicious news!!

From Monday, Jervis Bay and North Nowra Vets will be participating in a fundraiser for the RSPCA by offering up a selection of baked treats in our hospital reception areas, for a small donation to help animals in need.

There will be goodies for both humans and pups, and donations can be accepted on the day in cash or online via the RSPCA donation portal.

Today was Skys last day of Chemo! She has been having treatment for Lymphoma and the big gentle girl handled it like the queen she is 👑 She was still happy to see us and gave us lots of tail wags while she stayed with us today. What a trooper!

Puppy Preschool classes starting Wednesday's at 6pm at North Nowra Vets 🐶🎓

Puppy preschool is so important for early socialisation with other pups. It really helps them develop a positive experience in their early years!

What's included - 4 x 1 hour sessions that will run every Wednesday at 6pm.
Course cost is $200

What will your puppy learn?

• Sit, drop & stay
• To come when called
• Walk on a lead
• To maintain eye contact
• Leave an object on cue

Many other topics are discussed over the 4 week course.

Biting, barking, jumping and more importantly toilet training!

We will also give you all the professional veterinary advice you need in regards to vaccinations, preventative health care and desexing!

We can't wait to meet all the new puppies!!

We love those goofy grins and cheeky smirks… but behind the cuteness, dental disease is one of the most common health issues in dogs and cats.

By age 3:
🐶 8 in 10 dogs
🐱 7 in 10 cats
…already have some form of dental disease 😮

What to look for:
👃 Bad breath
🍗 Struggling to chew
🩸 Red or swollen gums
😿 Dropping food or eating less

Why it matters: Poor dental health can cause pain and lead to serious problems with the heart, liver, and kidneys.

🪥 A little prevention goes a long way, think daily brushing, dental chews, and regular vet check-ups.

Ziggy had dental surgery recently at Jervis Bay Veterinary Clinic with Dr Shannon and Nurse Hannah, but you wouldn't know it by the way he was happily eating his snacks once he had recovered from the anaesthetic!
