That’s a wrap 🐾 Canine Crib Co. has been one of the biggest challenges and greatest blessings of my life. It carried me through rough seasons, taught me endless lessons and brought together a community I’m so grateful for. CCC is more than just me, it’s this community that we built together.

Working with animals is the most rewarding kind of exhausting. It isn’t just cuddles and cute photos, it’s long hours, heavy lifting, calming storms, and caring for every pet like they’re your own. It’s overstimulation and unpredictable moments, but it’s also pure joy. It’s the dogs who made us laugh mid breakdown, the tail wags that fixed bad days, and the friendships that grew in the middle of the madness.

To our clients, you have become family. You did not just support a small business, you supported us as people. Your kind words, your trust, your check ins, your sweet treats and offers of help have meant more than you could ever know. You carried us through the hardest days and made every moment worth it. I am endlessly grateful to every single one of you.

To my staff, past and present, you are the backbone of CCC. You worked so hard in a job that is loud, chaotic, unpredictable and physically draining, and you still showed up every day. You supported me and were patient with me while I learned how to be a boss and how to run a business simultaneously for the first time. I am forever grateful for you.

To my friends, thank you for every check in, every post share, business card share and every time you forced me to accept the help I swore I didn’t need. To my parents, thank you for believing in this dream before anyone else did, you have sacrificed and supported me so much and I will never be able to thank you enough.

Special thank you to the team for keeping us caffeinated every single day and for always being my first point of contact when something broke, went wrong or I needed someone to vent (cry) to 😂

This was my dream and I was able to live it fully. I am so proud of what we built and so at peace with moving on. Here is to endings that do not mean failure, just transformation.

Reminder we are closing permanently on November 26th and are currently fully booked 😊🐾

This is one of the hardest posts I’ve ever had to write. After a lot of thought (and many tears), I’ve made the decision to close the doors of Canine Crib Co. Our last day of operation with be November 26th 2025.

This little salon + daycare has been my dream, and it’s been such a joy to care for so many of your beautiful dogs and cats over the years. I’ve loved every wagging tail, every cuddle, every playful bark, and I’ll never forget the trust you placed in me to look after your furry family members.

Sadly, the rising costs of running a small business, combined with personal challenges, have made it impossible for me to keep going in the way Canine Crib Co. (and your pets) truly deserve. As much as my heart wants to keep pushing through, I know I need to step back for my own wellbeing.

To every single client, pet, and supporter, thank you. Thank you for trusting me with your pets, for cheering me on, for your loyalty, and for making this journey so special. You’ve given me memories that will stay with me forever.

This isn’t an easy goodbye, but it’s the right one for now. Canine Crib Co. will always have a very special place in my heart and I’ll always be grateful for the community that grew around it.

We wanted to let you know about some changes to our opening hours due to staffing and circumstances out of our control.

Our last Saturday of trading will be 30th August, and from Monday 8th September we will be closed on Saturdays and open Mondays. We understand many of you have regular Saturday bookings and can only attend on those days, and we’ll do our very best to reschedule you during the week wherever possible.

Our new hours will be:

Monday: 8 am – 3 pm (newly open)

Tuesday to Thursday: 8 am – 5 pm (no change)

Friday: 8 am – 3 pm (last appointment intake at 11 am)

Saturday & Sunday: Closed

This means our regular 2pm Friday clients will also need to be rescheduled, as our latest Friday appointment will now be at 11 am.

Additionally, daycare will now only run Tuesday to Thursday, 8 am – 5 pm.

We truly appreciate your understanding and support as we navigate the highs and lows of running a small business. Your loyalty means the world to us, and we’ll work with you to find a time that suits where possible.

Please reach out with what you would like to do with your appointments moving forward if you are affected by these changes.

🎉 Canine Crib Co. turns TWO today! 🎉

To every single one of you who has supported us, from our very first client to our regulars who feel like family, thank you from the bottom of my heart. Your loyalty, trust, and patience have meant the world as I’ve navigated my way through the wild ride of running a small business for the first time.

Running a business is not for the faint hearted, the mental and physical toll, the financial rollercoaster, the almost non existent work life balance, the behind the scenes chaos, the pressure of managing a team and figuring it all out as I go, it’s a lot, but it’s been worth it and I appreciate you all sticking around for it!

Behind the scenes, while majority of our furry clients are amazing, we are also dealing with behaviour issues, poorly maintained coats that require serious care, endless p**p, scratches and bites, loud noises and constant overstimulation. It’s exhausting and challenging and we appreciate your grace.

To my incredible groomers, thank you for showing up with skill, compassion, and dedication every single day. Your commitment to animal welfare and the love you show our clients (furry and human) does not go unnoticed. You are the backbone of Canine Crib Co., and I’m beyond grateful. (And thank you for dealing with my chaotic brain🤣)

And again, to our amazing clients, thank you for growing with us, sticking by us, and letting us care for your pets like they’re our own. This little biz wouldn’t be here without you. 🐾

Hi, I’m Alison! I’m 25 years old and I’ve been part of the Canine Crib Co. team as a groomer since March 2024. I’ve been working in the animal industry for over eight years now, starting in pet retail before moving into dog grooming, which I absolutely love. My passion for dogs is what led me to this career, and I haven’t looked back. I especially enjoy grooming Oodle breeds, their coats are so versatile and fun to work with.

At home, I’ve got one cheeky girl named Maisy. She’s a caramel Moodle who loves her toys, snuggles, and getting into mischief.

If I were a dog, I reckon I’d be a German Shepherd. I’ve always loved them and dreamed of having one, but with my current lifestyle, it probably wouldn’t be the right fit, so I admire them from afar!

The most rewarding part of my job is seeing the owners’ reactions when they pick up their pups, it always makes my day. One thing I wish every dog parent knew is how important it is to start grooming early, it really helps dogs feel more relaxed and confident. My top tip for at-home grooming? Make sure you’re brushing right down to the skin, not just the top layer!

When I’m not at work, you’ll usually find me gaming on my PC, spending time with my family and taking Maisy out exploring! 🥰

Hi hi! My name is Jorden, and I am the Founder and Managing Director of Canine Crib Co. I wear many pants in this business, from reception to daycare to grooming to social media and content to the day to day tasks of running a business and managing a team. A bit about me, I am 28 years old and started my journey in the animal industry as a teenager way back in 2013 and haven’t left! I have wanted to work with animals from as young as I could form a thought!

In my working life, I have had jobs in grooming, doggy daycare, pet boarding, pet retail and pet food manufacturing but have come back into the grooming and daycare space! I played with the idea of vet nursing or veterinary but I realised, I’m a fainter… so that was a no go. Something you may not know about me is that I have two certs in pet nutrition, one specialising in raw nutrition, so if you ever need some advice on pet food, I’m ya gal.

I have two dogs and two cats, many of you will know my two “Pom-Chi’s”, Donut (7) and Bagel (2), as they are at work with me every single day, you have definitely heard them bark. My two cats are named Pudding (4) and Marshmallow (3), not sure if it is obvious but I love a bakery treat. If I was a dog I would definitely be a Pomeranian named after a sweet treat.

Outside of work I spend a lot of time with my pets, being a mother of 4 is like a second full time job! Besides hanging with them, I love to go to the gym and hang with my friends (which is basically a doggy play date). I also love the beach and going for (easy) hikes, all things nature really is my happy place. My fave genre of movies/ tv shows is horror/thriller, so catch me watching those at night time in bed in my trackies (if you’ve ever seen me you will know I live in full tracksuits). My fave music artist is Mac Miller🥰🕊️

A really fun fact about me is that I am actually allergic to dogs and cats but I simply will not let that stop me! Some sneezing, rashes and swollen eyes won’t get in the way of my doggy and kitty cuddles.
