Just a little update from me — I’ve recently had surgery and am currently on the mend. Recovery is going well, but I do need to take it gently over the coming weeks.

I truly appreciate your understanding and patience while I give my body the time it needs to heal properly. The good news is I'm back, hopefully there's no more setbacks moving forward.

I’ll be reaching out to each of you individually to reschedule or confirm your appointments over the coming weeks.

Hi everyone, I just wanted to let you know that I had surgery last week after dealing with some ongoing health issues. Everything went well, but I’ve been advised to take it easy while I recover, so I’ll need to cancel this week and next week, and hopefully start rebooking clients gradually after that. I will contact you individually to rebook.

I’m really looking forward to getting back into it as soon as I’m able and seeing all your lovely pups again. I truly appreciate your patience and understanding while I focus on healing.

I completely understand that some of your dogs may not be able to wait that long. If you do need to book elsewhere in the meantime, please feel free to reach out and I’d be more than happy to recommend some great groomers.

🚨 45°C HEAT TODAY – PLEASE READ (PETS + WILDLIFE) 🚨

Today is forecast to hit 45 degrees and we need everyone in our community to take this seriously.
This isn’t “summer weather”… this is dangerous, life-threatening heat for pets and wildlife.

✅ PLEASE BRING YOUR PETS INDOORS.
No excuses today!

If you have a dog, cat, rabbit, guinea pig, birds—ANY animal—they should NOT be left outside in this heat.

🔥 Animals can overheat FAST.
They don’t get the choice to “just go inside” like we do. And they don’t always show warning signs until it’s too late.

🐾 For pet owners:
Keep cats inside (no free roaming today!)
Keep dogs indoors or in aircon/fans
Provide multiple water bowls
Ensure shade isn’t moving (sun shifts and shade disappears)

Do NOT leave pets in garages/sheds/carports
Do NOT walk dogs tomorrow (even morning is risky)
Check paws on concrete (7 seconds with the back of your hand)– it burns
If you see a dog outside without water/shade – please speak up or call it in.

Roaming dogs call the ranger immediately during business hours 52 725 272

If your animal gets out in this heat, it can die before anyone finds it.

🦘 For wildlife:
Wildlife suffer silently in extreme heat. You can help with one simple thing:

✅ Put out a shallow water dish in the shade
(add rocks/sticks so small animals/insects don’t drown)
✅ If you see a bird on the ground panting / wings out:
Place it in a quiet box
Offer water nearby (don’t force it)
Call Wildlife Victoria 8400 7300 (or local rescue)
Today will be brutal.
Let’s be the kind of community that protects the voiceless when it matters most.

Good morning everyone,

Just a reminder to stay cool and hydrated, both you and your fur-babies.

Please bring them in during the heat of the day, if possible. If not, please make sure they have ample cool water, plenty of shade. Some extra tips are to place wet towels out on hard flooring/concrete in the shade or invest in some cooling mats. You can also pop a small frozen water bottle in their water bowls to keep it cool.

Also there are quite a few lost pets and lots of wild life around the Geelong area, so if you are able to, place a dish/bowl/small bucket out the front in the shade, so that these animals have sources of water.

Good morning everyone,

Just a friendly reminder to do the 7 second test before walking your pups over these next few days.

Also making sure they have plenty of cool water and shade. If possible keeping them inside during the heat of the day.

Keep your eyes open for signs of heat stress.

Good morning everyone,

Its going to be some wild weather today. So let batten down the hatches, make sure those gates are super secure.

If your dog gets anxious in bad weather give them their calming supplement early and if yoy have an anxiety jacket pop those on before the bad weather hits!

Stay safe and inside and bring those furbabies with you!
