UPDATE: Rose has found her perfect home and is very happy being with her new person. I knew there was someone out there who could be Rose’s perfect companion. 🥰😍🤗

Well Rose went to a home with another Cocker and was back in our care the next day. 😔
We did a few more trials and tests since then and we have fully identified her triggers. You see she is an absolutely beautiful dog perfect in almost every way. She is not in the least aggressive. When there is no other dog Rose will cry a little when we leave then settle down, take a nap and otherwise behave as normal. However, she goes into an unreasonable panic state when left alone with another dog. Even her own daughter. As breeders we have more than one dog and we have a cat, so our tests had to be carefully managed. She gets along with other dogs, even unfamiliar ones and is relatively calm and playful until the people are out of the house. Once people leave she starts to panic, cry and pace which eventually turns into barking, running and panic jumping on whatever vertical surface (doors, fences, veranda railing, walls) to the point where she doesn’t even see where the doggy door is. This causes anxiety to build up in the dog who is with her as well. Leon and I have concluded that she will be best in a single pet home and will not be considering any multiple animal homes.

🐶 Important Pet Health Update 🐾
We’re seeing a noticeable increase in Canine Cough (kennel cough) cases in our area! This highly contagious respiratory illness can spread quickly between dogs — especially in places like dog parks, daycares, groomers, and boarding facilities.

📌 What to Watch For:
– Persistent, dry or “honking” cough
– Sneezing or nasal discharge
– Lethargy or reduced appetite
– Gagging/Retching

🛡️ Prevention Tips:
✔️ Keep your dog’s Bordetella vaccine up to date
✔️ Avoid high-risk areas if your dog is coughing or immune-compromised
✔️ Practice good hygiene (wash hands, sanitize leashes/collars)
✔️ Isolate sick pets to avoid spreading illness

📞 If your pup shows any signs of coughing or illness, give us a call right away. Early treatment = faster recovery! 💙
