After many months of searching, we have settled on our new property in Tasmania! The dogs are getting used to hearing the goats nearby and introductions will happen eventually. Yes I’ll post pics when we do. 🥰

Blue collar boy is full of energy and character. He loves treats and exploring. He wore himself out tracking down every kangaroo trail he could find on our walk. I’m betting he would love scent work as a doggy sport.

White collar girl absolutely loves people and children. Our kids loved taking her for a walk and she was so focused on them that she was easy enough for even the baby to hold. Her people pleasing focus makes her highly trainable and she wants nothing more than to be with two legged friends.

This girl is a very loveable ratbag. She enjoys exploring and hunting for kibble and certainly can’t resist a good cuddle. Her expressions are priceless. Green collar girl

Hi everyone! We have some exciting news! We are starting a new chapter in life following my husband’s dreams of dairy and egg farming. This means that over the past two months The CockerSpaniel House has moved to Tasmania and will be based not too far from the Launceston airport so we can easily transport to any capital city in Australia. Our dogs and Skittles the cat have all settled in nicely and are looking forward to checking out the beach. 😁 I will still be happy to answer your dog related questions and FaceTime with our waitlist members as usual. Just please have patience with me as I sort out where stuff has gone in which boxes. 🙃

Hi, I’m Heather. Welcome to The CockerSpaniel House! My husband Leon and I are breeders of cocker spaniels in the Toowoomba region of Queensland Australia. Our dogs are our family pets. They enjoy cuddles and love to play in our very large backyard.
Our litters are born in our home, regularly wormed, vet checked, microchiped, and thoroughly loved. We are both members of Dogs Queensland and my husband’s prefix is Truhope.

🐶 Important Pet Health Update 🐾
We’re seeing a noticeable increase in Canine Cough (kennel cough) cases in our area! This highly contagious respiratory illness can spread quickly between dogs — especially in places like dog parks, daycares, groomers, and boarding facilities.

📌 What to Watch For:
– Persistent, dry or “honking” cough
– Sneezing or nasal discharge
– Lethargy or reduced appetite
– Gagging/Retching

🛡️ Prevention Tips:
✔️ Keep your dog’s Bordetella vaccine up to date
✔️ Avoid high-risk areas if your dog is coughing or immune-compromised
✔️ Practice good hygiene (wash hands, sanitize leashes/collars)
✔️ Isolate sick pets to avoid spreading illness

📞 If your pup shows any signs of coughing or illness, give us a call right away. Early treatment = faster recovery! 💙
