🐴 Horse Training Opportunity – Warragul Equestrian Centre 🐴

We currently have space to take on one (possibly two) horses for training with Dave Middleton at Warragul Equestrian Centre.

This season Dave is focusing on just one serious competition horse — with one horse out for the year and another now being campaigned by Emma — which means he has genuine time available to give another horse consistent, individual attention.

Dave has decades of experience producing and competing horses at elite level, including placing 11th at the World Championships, winning the Adelaide CCI5* twice, show jumping up to 1.45m, and riding up to Advanced level dressage. That experience now translates into practical, structured training for everyday riders and horses.

This opportunity would suit:
• Young horses needing correct foundations
• Horses that need polishing or confidence building
• Riders wanting help improving rideability and performance
• Competition horses needing to be kept in work while riders are on holiday or managing other time commitments
• Owners wanting guidance on how to get the best from their horse

Training can include ridden work, flatwork improvement, jumping education, dressage development, competition preparation, and the option to incorporate lessons so owners can learn alongside their horse.

We will be running 3 day clinics in both weeks of the July school Holidays. Coaches are Dave and Emma Middleton. Open for kids who can ride independantly. Activities include jumping games and dressage.

Let’s not forget the amazing efforts of ‘WEC In The Breeze’ who finished in a top 6 after dressage, second best SJ round ( having just tapped the last fence down) and a tech issue XC also on the 5 star at Adelaide.

4* Schoolmaster
WEC In The Swing (Precious) was a successful 4* Eventer and 125cm showjumper with Dave who never had a Xc jumping fault in their entire time together. Results inc 2nd Ballarat 4*, 4th Wandin 4*, 4th Narracoorte 4*. She is full sister to the 4* superstars and mini Prix showjumpers WEC In The Breeze and WEC In The Money. Her bloodlines boast some of europes top horses and include Olympic Showjumping and dressage medalists. She was started late and after a couple of covid interrupted seasons it was decided to give Emma the ride as Dave had both her younger siblings going 4*. So her best was still ahead of her, unfortunately time and money were in short supply. Emma started riding Precious having done very little and has improved out of sight since they started together. They are currently competing successfully at 1* and 104cm Showjumping. We are offering Precious for sale only as we have too many horses. Emma is also riding Precious’s younger full sister WEC In The Long Run and daughter WEC In The Mail. 16.1h 14yo $59,000
