🐰 EASTER LONG WEEKEND CLOSURE 🐰

Mr. Tank is full of beans 🫘 and hopping in to let all our lovely clients know we’ll be closed over the Easter long weekend on the following dates:

📅 Friday 3rd April - Closed
📅 Saturday 4th April - Closed
📅 Monday 6th April - Closed

We will be back to our usual hours on Tuesday 7th April 🐾

We are open as normal on Thursday 2nd April until 6pm for all your pet’s needs. Please make sure you’re prepared for the long weekend by ordering any medications before 10am Thursday morning!! 💊

Dear Clients, please be aware that the clinic will be CLOSED Monday due to the public holiday.

🕗 We are OPEN today: 8am–3pm
🕘 We will re-open Tuesday: 8:30am–6pm

Please ensure you are prepared for our closure, with any enquiries or medication requests made before we close today.

☀️ 🔥 SEVERE HEATWAVE ALERT 🔥☀️

With the extreme temperatures forecasted this week, our pets are at serious risk of heat stress and heat stroke. Please take extra precautions and keep your furry family members cool and safe this summer 🐶🐱

Top tips to protect your pets in this heat:

🐾 Skip the walks – especially for flat-faced breeds like Pugs, Bulldogs, Frenchies, Boxers and any pets with heart or breathing issues.
🐾 Pavement test – if you can’t comfortably stand barefoot on the ground, neither can their paws!
🐾 Stay inside during the hottest parts of the day.
🐾 Plenty of fresh water at all times (add ice cubes if they like them!).
🐾 Cooling aids like fans, cooling mats, damp towels or air-conditioning.
🐾 Dog-safe sunscreen on light or pink skin (nose, ears, belly) if they’re going into the sun.
🐾 Never leave pets in cars – even for a minute. 🚗❌

⚠️ Signs of heat stress include: excessive panting, drooling, weakness, vomiting or collapse.
If you’re concerned, contact your vet immediately. ⚠️

💔🎉 A Big Congratulations and a Goodbye is in order… 🎉💔

Today was a hard day as we said goodbye to one of our very long-term staff members. 😭

Many of you will recognise Stephanie from behind the counter — she has been an incredible nurse with us since 2018!

Seven years ago, Steph took a leap of faith and began her journey towards becoming a veterinarian… and we are proud to say that dream is now a reality! ✨

Over the past few weeks, you may have been lucky enough to see her step into a new role as Dr. Steph, transitioning from a senior nurse to a newly qualified veterinarian (yes, we’re taking some credit!).

Dr. Steph is now heading off to pursue another lifelong dream — the beachy life 🌊☀️ She’ll be working with an amazing new team, enjoying daily beach walks (not just weekends anymore!), and making more fun memories with her beloved fur baby Aaliyah. 🐾

While it’s bittersweet to see her go, we know that many of you will miss her kindness, dedication, and genuine love for every patient she cared for.
Maybe some of you will even get to see her again someday, it’s a small industry. 😅

Steph, we are beyond proud of everything you’ve achieved over your 8 incredible years with us. Thank you for everything — we can’t wait to watch your veterinary career shine!! ✨

The Team at Niddrie Veterinary Clinic would like to share our holiday operating hours with you for this festive season!🎄🎆

• Wednesday the 24th of December:
OPEN 8:30AM - 1:00PM
•Thursday the 25th of December - Thursday January 1st 2026:
CLOSED
•Friday the 2nd of January: OPEN with usual operating hours. 🪧

Please note that all orders before the closure period must be made by TUESDAY 23rd of December 10:00AM if you need any medication or food order requests to guarantee they arrive before the cut off.

**For all enquiries during our closure period please email us at [email protected].
If your pet has an appointment with a referral clinic during this time, please request your pet’s medical history prior to our closure as we will not be monitoring these requests until we re-open on the 2nd of January 2026. **

If your pet is needing urgent care during these periods please contact your nearest Emergency Animal Hospital for treatment.

Our gorgeous patient Hunter would like to alert you all that the clinic will be CLOSED tomorrow (Tuesday the 4th of November) and we will re-open on Wednesday the 5th of November with normal operating hours.
