Miss you Dad 😢❤️

This is my dad, it’s been 8 years today that I had to say goodbye. The years go by and time doesn’t seem to add up properly. Wish you were still here to see how the kids have grown and what they have accomplished. Wish you could be here to see what I have done as well, I know you would have been proud of us all. There have been some times where it has been a real struggle and I miss the support you always gave. I still do my best for you and our family. Love and miss you every day.
Will have a wee dram for you today
Cheers dad 🥃❤️😢

7 years ago today I said goodbye to my dad, my best mate. Always miss your support, your caring, your interest in what I’m doing and mostly having a beer with you out the back. You were always proud of me and I’m always proud of you being my dad. Miss you every day. ♥️
Cheers to a whiskey today for you 🥃

Timelapse of my Elton John sketch

💔

💔

I was going to do a sketch of Elton John today but chose to draw young James instead. I’m sure you have seen the tragic story in the news. Just can’t fathom the pain his parents must be going through. A senseless unnecessary loss of life because of an idiot selfish drunk driver who through their own choice has devastated a family’s life forever. I will try and get this sketch to his parents and hope in some small way it helps. ❤️😢

My tribute sketch of Shane Warne.
Really saddened by his passing, I only watched Shane the documentary a couple of weeks ago. Like him or not I respect that he owned all of his mistakes and wanted to be a better father, person. It’s heartbreaking for his kids that he was now able to spend more time with them being dad. I admired his commitment, dedication and competitiveness.
Cheers Warnie
Ps I will do something with the sketch for charity

You may remember the tragic accident in which baby Mia sadly passed away after her mum fell while they were being swooped by a magpie. I cannot fathom the pain and grief her parents must have gone through at a time which should be the happiest of their lives. I done a sketch of Mia just before Christmas and will be posting it this week to her mum and dad in the hope that it helps in some small way. ❤️

“The time has come, the Walrus said...”

It is with a great sadness that we write this post. We have decided that after 6 fun years it is time to close the doors on our little store in Wallsend.

There are many reasons for this decision but the most important is our family. Although we have enjoyed the time we have had, it has taken a tremendous toll on us and our family and we have decided it is time to switch our focus back to the most important people in our lives – our kids.

We would like to say a massive thankyou to each and every one of you who have supported us over our journey. We still can’t believe some of the things we have managed to achieve over the time. It has been amazing to have been able to bring the community together with our events, help multiple charities, causes and local businesses along the way. It was always our number one goal to create a place where everyone was welcome and could feel comfortable, that is what we are the proudest of. It is disappointing that we haven’t been able to reach our complete end goal, it would have been amazing, but who knows what the future may bring.

BUT... just because we are closing our Bricks & Mortar store it doesn’t mean goodbye forever. We will be continuing with our focus on our online presence and who knows, we might pop up again here and there on the market scene. SO don’t stress if you have preorders or still want a little Heroes and More goodness...it might work out even better for a while as we have free local delivery...How awesome!

We are looking at closing end of July so if you’ve been wanting to pop in but haven’t make sure you visit us before we close.

Keep an eye out, because we won’t be leaving before one last traditional Heroes and More event day.

From the bottom of our hearts - Thank you all so much for the last 6 years. We have met so many amazing people over the years and have had such a great time. We hope you all keep in touch.

Stay Super

Mel & Simon xx

I was a pretty big Knights and Andrew Johns fan back in the day. I admired Joeys natural given talents on the field and combined with my love of art I created this painting 20 years ago when I just started out. Now that he has been made a Rugby League immortal I guess the painting is fitting. It’s just been sitting in storage and will be put to better use by helping out a charity in the new year.
Ps I wasn’t able to tag God in the post
