This team of amazing scent detection experts deserve to be celebrated each and every day, as without them there would be a lot less truffles detected in SA! The team has well and truly earned this appreciation post…well most of them have 😉

JAX appreciation post: A shoutout to who, despite tough competition, has taken out our rookie of the year award with some magnificent end of season finds in both the coveted tuber melanosporum and tuber borchii categories. His laid back approach and no fuss attitude has been a pleasure to watch in his official debut season. Thankyou to Jax and his human for their efforts this year. Bring on season 2026.

If the CFMEU are looking for a new union delegate then they could do a lot worse then .
A well known fact about her hunting skills is that unless she is rewarded in a timely manner, she will place a paw over the truffle in the ground and not let me remove/flag it until the agreed transaction has taken place. She has also been known to sit in the hole, if I get distracted talking or trying to take a photo.

Di has many years experience training and handling detection dogs and her trusty sidekick Jax is a ⭐️ with a proven search and rescue background on top of being a terrific truffle hunter.
