It’s that time of year when and expand their scent detection skills by hunting for the white truffle (aka the “Bianchetto” or “Tuber Borchii”) as well as the usual but also exceptional black truffle.

We are starting to see a few white truffle ripen enough to harvest, releasing their beautiful garlicky/mushroom aroma.

We are very fortunate here in SA to grow such beautiful white truffles, often harvesting well into September.

Definitely one of our all-time favourites.
