I’ll be honest - these are both really good brushes. Here’s how to choose:
If your horse has lots of hair (really thick mane and tail) go with the Dr Show tail rake. It will get through the thickest tail because it’s got long tines and is really strong. I’ve been using mine for 8 years and it hasn’t lost a single tine.
If your horse has a thin mane or tail and you don’t want to lose any hair at all, go for the Queens brush. It’s really gentle and doesn’t pull at all, so you will lose very little hair. It still does a really good job of getting the knots out though.

So I promised an alternative to WD40 as a mane and tail detangler. (Now that we know that it’s not fish oil - it’s solvent and petroleum and is labelled as poisonous to swallow or breathe in).
These are my two favourites. They aren’t tacky, they repel the dirt, and they really do make detangling a breeze - even with a very matted mane or tail. The main difference is that the liquid silk comes in a spray and is scented, and the Dr Sho is scent free and you smear it through with your hands. Which do you like best?
