Flopsy gets a gold star for being the bravest bunny ever!
He came in to visit Dr Louise to have his Crown Jewels removed 🙊

Here he is pictured with Nurse Caitie who has a special interest in Exotics and so cared for him for the day. It included mandatory post surgery cuddles, topping up his rocket 🥬 and a selfie or two

Thank you to Flopsy’s family for trusting Greencross Chatswood with their special boy and allowing us to share his gorgeous face with you all

Meet sweet little Kiki 🦘

Kiki was found by a member of the public with a laceration to her ankle. Thankfully, our amazing wildlife carer Kristy brought this beautiful girl into Greencross Vets South Morang to get her the care she needed.

Dr Kayla carefully stitched up Kiki’s ankle, making it her first-ever kangaroo stitch-up! ✨ Nurse Kiara was also there to monitor the procedure and make sure she was well looked after❤️

Kiki will be heading to her wildlife carer’s home today where she’ll stay for a little while to heal and grow before she can eventually be released back into the wild.

We’re so grateful to everyone who helped this sweet girl and feel very lucky to be able to care for our amazing Australian wildlife! 🦘💚

Turns out the cone makes everything I say a lot louder which nobody told me about, so if you can hear me from down the street that’s why. Also, a really big thanks to everyone at Greencross Vets because they were so nice to me and I had a really good nap there, honestly top three naps of my life

We hope that everyone is keeping safe in these scary weather conditions and power outages. Unfortunately our clinic is currently without power and we don't yet know how long this could last for.

We are still open but running on limited resources and may need to refer you to other clinics. Our phones are not working right now but we are trying to rectify this. We will keep you all updated as soon as we hear anything and we appreciate your understanding.

If your pet is in need of urgent vet attention you can take them to the nearest emergency hospitals or jump onto Webvet.

To our dear Nurse Sasha and Dr Richard,

Thank you for the amazing contributions you have made to the Mudgeeraba Clinic over your time working here. The team will miss you both so much. We can't be sad though, as we are so delighted to see you both grow and move on to greater opportunities in management and clinic direction at the Oxenford branch. You will make a wonderful team and they are lucky to have you!

We're sure all of our lovely clients who got to know you will be glad to hear of your success and to know you are staying close by in the Greencross family should they wish to see you.

We will see you both soon, but until then, Good Luck and don't be strangers!

🌟JOIN OUR TEAM!🌟

🐾We are offering a varied Cert IV nursing role within an experienced team of committed professionals. If you thrive in a bustling environment, and enjoy a balance between emergency care and general practice then you may be our ideal candidate! You must have a Cert IV qualification in Veterinary Nursing and confidence in surgical and hospital procedures. Experience is certainly an asset but if you are a fast learner and enjoy furthering your skills and knowledge then we would love to hear from you.

🐶🐱Finding a clinic that offers a personalised client and patient experience alongside a varied and expansive case load can be difficult. Greencross Mudgeeraba sits right in that niche! Our nurses benefit from a large, trusting client base (built on over 20 years of work in the area) providing interesting surgical and medical cases every day. This is a clinic where your knowledge and skills will be called upon daily, and a candidate who enjoys learning will be able to expand their education.

🌈Our team share the work-load across client and patient care. We do expect our candidates to be confident in client communication and basic reception tasks, but your focus will be providing strong surgical and hospital nursing support to our clinical team. We strive to provide a fair working environment, where the needs of our team members are met, and responsibilities are shared so be prepared to be a team player and jump into help where needed.

💚At Mudgeeraba Greencross, we take care of each other through the highs and lows of our industry, celebrating our staff successes and providing support (and snacks) during those difficult times. We are looking to welcome another Mudgeeraba Clinic member to the family, and would love to hear what you have to offer.

The position is full time, with part time considered for the right applicant.

If you would like to know more or apply for the role, please reach out to Practice Manager Jenny Stevens with your resume and cover letter, via: [email protected]

IMPORTANT REMINDER

Please be advised that we are seeing an alarming amount of tick paralysis cases in the clinic. Pets have had to receive lifesaving treatment and spend days recovering in hospital due to overdue or absent preventatives.

Prevention is cure in this instance, so we urge all of our clients on the Gold Coast to check their preventatives and confirm that they are both up to date, and suitable for paralysis tick prevention.

It has been a chaotic year for all of us and time has been flying by. We understand that is easy to overlook or skip a prevention due date. If you are unsure, please call the clinic for clarification on what is needed and how frequently.

Take care and keep your pets safe!

The Greencross Mudgeeraba Team

Two little visitors playing look-a-like! It's not often we have two blue coat BCs on the same day. 💙💙 These two had fun making friends in hospital while the team asked them to work for the camera - they kindly obliged in exchange for pats and treatos! 🐾🍪
