We’re still fielding a lot of calls every day, asking questions like:—
“How much is a bale of hay worth?”
“How much for a truck load?”
“What can you get?”
"When can you get it here?"

Just a reminder — we’re currently out of locally grown hay and are supplying full truckloads only, direct to farm. No single bales at this stage.

To try and help everyone out, I’ve put the numbers together and broken it down a few different ways for full transparency.
Hopefully this gives a clearer picture of where things sit in the current market. If nothing else, it might help you with some tough decisions — what’s fair value, what’s expensive, or even whether to carry stock through.

Prices are indicative, subject to actual kilometres & subject to actual loaded weight (Supplier A).

Transport invoices are being supplied with the final invoice to make it easier if there's a freight subsidy introduced at a later date, to make it easier for you to claim this so this isn't done retrospectively.

With how dry it is here in Mudgee, we’ve been getting a lot of enquiries about hay.

Just an update — we are currently out of hay and don’t have anything available at the moment.

If you’re chasing a road train load from interstate, that’s something we can supply. Just keep in mind with diesel around $3/L, it’s not going to be a cheap exercise.

**********Hay availability & update**********
Due to the current weather conditions & lack of hay available from local sources, the customer enquiries for hay have been increasing by the day. Unfortunately we are out of locally grown hay as well.

However, if there's enough interest I have hay available & trucks on the ground in Victoria ready to go(I never thought I'd say this so close to the last drought & off the back of such a wet year as 2023).

How it will work:
•By pre-selling individual bales(1-42 square, 1-34 round) by invoice.
•Once a truck load is sold & bales paid for, the hay will be brought up & available for pickup at our Wilbertree Rd Mudgee location.
•If you buy a bale & the rest of the truck doesn't sell to others due to a lack of demand(hay therefore isn't brought up), you will get your money back.

At this stage, I have truck allocations for next week.

5x4 Oaten round: $240+

$1000 cash reward on offer for any information/leads on where this 5x8 trailer now is or the grub who has stolen this from the Wilbertree Rd Mudgee NSW. Your anonymity is assured.

Trailer has now been missing since September. A lock was cut & the trailer was stolen. It's known he frequents the Wilbertree Rd & has seen it numerous times.

Features: double axle, hyraulic brakes, 5x8 size, distinctive A frame reinforced plating.
At the time that it was stolen it had a Vin No: 6APBXTRLRBC005169, rego: U56560, color gloss black with gloss black wheels.

Keen to get the trailer back & very interested to catch up with who has done this.
