New things are happening in the clinic…

We are upgrading our clinic software next week and ask your patience as we may be slower than usual.

We will have some new faces around the clinic for the week teaching us and feeding us coffee ā˜•ļø.

We will work diligently to get through our appointments and procedures but will also be learning all new software so pray for us šŸ™ and make sure you’re not in a rush to be anywhere 😜

Just a bit of cuteness to bring to your Saturday! Happy weekend everyone!

Today we celebrate World Vet Day 🐾
Behind every wagging tail, gentle purr, and second chance at life is a veterinarian who chose compassion as their calling. Vets are the quiet heroes who work long hours, face emotional challenges, and still show up with steady hands and open hearts for animals who cannot speak for themselves.
They comfort worried pet parents, fight for the voiceless, and give everything they can—often without recognition. Their work isn’t just a profession, it’s a promise to care, to heal, and to protect.
To every vet out there: thank you for your kindness, your resilience, and your selflessness. The world is better because of you. šŸ’™šŸ¶šŸ±

Vet visits don’t have to be stressful—for you or your pet 🐾

While medications should only ever be prescribed by a veterinarian, they can make a simple visit so much calmer and safer. Many pets experience extreme anxiety at the clinic, and what should be a quick procedure (like a nail trim) can turn into a full panic response.

It’s completely understandable to feel unsure about medicating your pet—but in some cases, it’s actually the safer option. Severe stress can put strain on your pet’s body and increase the risk of injury to both your pet and the veterinary team.

The good news? Veterinary medicine has come a long way, and there are safe, effective options to help reduce fear and anxiety.

Have a chat with your vet at your next visit about whether pre-visit medication could help your pet 🐶🐱

We will be closed over the Easter Long weekend. Please make sure your pets vaccinations are up to date before you go away and medications are ordered before we close end of day Thursday.
Have a great Easter and we hope all your furry friends stay out of the chocolate.

If by chance they don't, the Animal Emergency Service Tanawha, North Coast Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care, Queensland Veterinary Specialists will be open if you have an emergency.
