We recently completed a 17-day Farm Sitting job in Smeaton, VIC! 🏡🐴🐑🐓

During this time, we provided daily care and attention to the farm animals, ensuring the horses, sheep, cows, chickens, and orphaned lambs were fed, watered, and checked for any signs of injury or illness. ✅

We also ensured paddocks and enclosures were safe and followed any specific dietary or medical requirements. 🐎💙 Special care was given to the orphaned lambs, ensuring they received the extra attention they needed. 🍼🐑

Our goal is always to ensure all animals remain happy, healthy, and comfortable while their owners are away, giving peace of mind that their beloved farm is in safe hands. 🐾

🌸 This beautiful old mare has a history of suffering from choke if her pellets and lucerne chaff aren’t thoroughly soaked before feeding. 💦 To help prevent any unnecessary incidents, we’ve been proactive by pre-soaking all her feeds before they’re given to her. 🐴

This not only keeps her safe, but also ensures she can thoroughly enjoy her dinner. 🍽️ Soaking her feed softens the pellets and chaff, making them easier to chew and swallow, which reduces the risk of anything getting stuck in her esophagus — a common cause of choke in horses. 🚫

Taking these extra precautions helps keep her happy, healthy, and able to enjoy her meals stress-free. ❤️🐎

We are currently providing horse-sitting services for a wonderful regular client. One of the horses in our care is prone to choke, so we take extra precautions when preparing feeds. To ensure safety, we pre-soak the feed the night before distribution, allowing it to soften completely before feeding time. This proactive approach gives us peace of mind, knowing the horse will be safe and well during our time as caretakers. 🐴💙

• $90/day – 10-20 minutes from Mount Prospect
• $100/day – 20-30 minutes from Mount Prospect

Our Basic Care Package includes:
🐴 Care for 1-2 horses
