Record numbers of dogs are being abandoned following the end of the rental moratorium, the Dogs Refuge Home WA INC says. ☹️

The President of the Shenton Park Dog Refuge, Karen Rhodes, told our Drive program there were nine dogs abandoned yesterday alone. 😢

She says the end of Jobseeker and COVID-19 rent laws are contributing to the large number of owners surrendering their dogs and the refuge is appealing to the community for help to find them new homes.

"The situation is close to crisis point, with no spare kennels and dogs in need unable to be rescued from local pounds," Ms Rhodes said.

Foothills Animal Hospital would like to warn the Armadale and surrounds community that Canine PARVOVIRUS has once again reared its ugly head. Parvovirus is a HIGHLY contagious virus that can survive in the environment for years.

Treatment of parvovirus is intensive and expensive. The only way to protect your furry family member from this horrible disease is to vaccinate.

Please contact the clinic now if you think that your dog is not up to date with their vaccines.

This pups needs foster homes!!!
How cool would it be to have one of this pups with you for Christmas 🎄😍

⚠️URGENT CARE NEEDED X 4 PUPS⚠️ now sorted ✔

4 x greyhound mix 16 week old puppies. They are currently on a farm.

Pups are adopting out quickly so would be amazing to get them all into home for chrissy. They deserve to be saved.

The farmer is willing to meet someone in Dwellingup (just out of Pinjarra to drop them off) this coming WEDNESDAY.

Location: Dwellingup

NOTE: Vet work for each pup will be covered by the rescue. They are currently without any vet work.

PLEASE DO NOT WALK YOUR FURBABY IF TOO HOT. THEY CAN OVER HEAT REALLY QUICKLY NOT TO MENTION BURN FEET. This is great to see if too hot for them. You can even walk in bare feet too.
Ensure they have plenty of water & can get inside &/or shade.
