Fresh new arrivals just hit the water and... Wow, they are stunning! Watching all the corals float around while they acclimated was seriously mesmerising. But now they are all ready to light up your tanks!

In addition to the glowing and gorgeous corals, we have some showstopper fish. Alongside the corals you can find Powder Blue Tangs, Yellow Coral Gobies, Longnose Hawkfish, Emperor Angels, Tomini Tangs, Foxface Rabbit fish and Aiptasia-eating Filefish - each one ready to steal the spotlight in your tanks.

Tank Mates For Betta Fish in Aquariums 30 Litres and Over: What Works and What Doesn't

If you're a Betta Fish owner, you might be wondering what other fish can live peacefully with your flashy finned friend. While Bettas are often known for their fiery temperament, there are several species that can happily share a tank with them. Here is Pet City's list of awesome Betta tank mates:

✨ Neon Tetras: These tiny, colourful fish are small and peaceful, so they won't compete with your Betta for space or attention.
✨ Ember Tetras: Even smaller than Neon Tetras, they prefer to swim in groups, so be sure to get at least a few.
✨ Harlequin Rasboras: These fish are peaceful and shouldn't provoke your Betta. Their natural schooling behaviour helps reduce chances of aggression.
✨ Corydoras Catfish: These bottom-dwelling fish are calm and non-aggressive and they help clean up any leftover food and creat a balanced tank environment.

What fish should you avoid housing with your Betta?
Any fish with long flowing tails or fins may be seen as a threat and become a target for fin-nipping, for example, guppies are a no go. Similarly, avoid gouramis and some barbs! Gouramis are often too similar in size and temperament to Bettas, leading to conflict. Barbs, on the other hand, are active, nippy fish that will stress your Betta out.

When choosing companions for your Betta Fish, it is important to consider the personalities and temperaments of all the fish in the aquarium. A peaceful community is the key to a happy tank!

Lola popped in today for her Hydro Bath and made a pitstop to grab her Aloveen oatmeal shampoo and conditioner. She was super excited, big smiles, living her best life... right up until it was actually bath time. Let's just say the enthusiasm dipped, but she powered through like a champ!

Lola's bath time got us thinking...

Is your dog prone to itching and scratching?
Sometimes (not always), bathing your pup a little too often can increase these itching tendencies.

Dogs naturally produce protective oils that help to keep their skin healthy and their coat shiny. And sometimes, when baths happen too frequently, those natural oils can be stripped away.

That being said, washing less often is not always a magic fix for your doggos scratching, and it is always best to consult your veterinarian if scratching persists.
